This evening battle will be a scenario test to understand what kind of battle will fit better with campaign system.

In this first test I set some fictional corps entry location as objectives to be hold by the enemy.

Forces are not equal but the two sides will have different aims in regards to this battle, so see it imagining that this is part of a bigger picture.

I'll give more info to the two CiC when they will appears ;D

A step back: the idea for the campaign is to move your Army around a 2d map and then when corps meet in some place, a battle will happen; when a battle finish, there's a calculation of recovery of wounded and missing; a side will have a FULL percentage of recovered units if at the end of the battle he has his LOC in his hand. If he has no more free LOC, the recovery percentage will be 0. If he lost 1 out of 2 LOC the percentage is halved and so on.

This is just a first rough idea and I want to try it because it's of simple implementation in the campaign calculation.

A second possible solution is to evaluate how many fresh cavalry will be available for a pursuit after one of the two sides retreat.

I'm sure there're other solutions to decide the faith of the retreating part and I'm opened to hear everyone solutions, possibly a solution which doesn't requires too much work from the Master side  ::)

This is RandomMap 6L12.

North and Northwest objectives are Lines of Communications of the allied forces. The Southern one is that of the French.

To hold an objective you need 4,000 men, AT THE END OF THE BATTLE and WITHOUT ANY FIGHT OCCURRING IN THE OBJECTIVE RANGE otherwise the objective is considered NOT occupied. Those objectives will give no points or bonuses.

Of course a commander could also decide to not fight for the conquest of the opposite objectives and simply try to destroy the enemy where he is.
