Title: Now for something completely different
Post by: Frankie on July 23, 2015, 06:38:27 AM
This just in. The new Francophone Scrabble world champion (http://"http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/french-scrabble-world-champion-winner-doesnt-speak-the-language-10404448.html") doesn't speak French.

Kiwi by birth, resides in Malaysia. Yeah!!! Someone, grant him a Malaysan citizenship.
Hey Lumi, if Finland has a Scrabble association, maybe he can compete in their competitions. He just needs to memorise the Finnish Scrabble dictionary.

I have never heard of such game. o.O  I don't think that it would be popular in Finland anyways... if we even have any players.

This article explains a bit more about how he processes words...
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sunday-star-times/features/3778594/A-way-with-words

"He's the best in the world at what he does, yet there's no bravado, no ego, no aggression. He just plays the game then rides his bike off.

Vis-a-vis his attitude, IMHO, we need more people like that.
