Here the battle from mitra's point of view

It was very interesting battle. Probably the french need a bit more coordination to exploit their attacks.
Indeed, berthier managed to hold first against general sandman and then against colbert and mitra.
When I engaged from north I found the enemy already shattered so I had easy life with him.
Also interesting was the after battle talk regarding possible different strategies from the french.
BTW, what was the time-intervall for holding an objective?
I was thinking about, that a more simultanously conducted attack wouldnt had helped much at my location, because the left (northern flnak) was always open and when colbert´s engagement was going to heat up, your troops were already deployed to attack from the north.
So a better solution might have been, that I try to hold the objective for one period (first with 1 brigade, then superseded by the other) and after that retreating to the corps reserve arty behind me, which was unprotected to build a stronghold. As long as my left flank was threatened, I couldnt join a general attack anyway without getting routed in a very short time.
Thing is, when the attack of the first bypassing french divisions started, my troops had been under arty barrage by at least 4 batteries since about 40 minutes.
Another opportunity might have been to keep behind the elevation and the reserve batteries, just protecting the arty, which bombards the enemy, until the general attack starts, which I join as the last element, when enemy troops have already been softened by our arty and perhaps shifting a bit more to defend the french offence on the french right flank.
But still, I was ordered to probe until the other divisions attack, what I expected to happen earlier and couldnt sufficiantly observe due 2 wood areas in between.
However, commanders once more faced the adversity of combat situations. :Horizon
Given the peplay of the battle, General Mitra was covered with glory, his cavalry and his artillery, he fought very well. It looked like a battle won, but, it was not so. Honor of the winners :howdy
