This was a great game.

Praetoria (CIC) and I took and held an objective against Biondo (CIC), Colbert and Mitra. We gave them pain. They did not take our objective. We pushed them back and they looked ready to collapse  :Lancer

Back to the battle, as CinC basically I made two mistakes.

First was to keep my bigger cavalry brigade too far in the rear while my three artillery batteries were advancing. The consequence was that I had to use the smaller cavalry brigade, which was moving to the left to support mitra, to counter Praetoria's cavalry advancing against the unsupported artillery. I lost two out of three squadrons and that brigade became useless. Then I couldn't move the bigger one because otherwise I had left artillery again without support.

The second mistake was to not order Colbert to take also his artillery with the brigade moving to the north. From there I'm sure he could made much more damage to the enemy.

Anyway you had a very strong defensive position and played very well exploiting every mistake I made. :howdy

I had a lot of apples... I kept my horse happy  :chg

It was a difficult position to take. I have defended it twice and managed not to be defeated. The terrain suits the defence.
