Bella immagine. Grazie per la condivisione
Very good battle. part 2 of our Waterloo. Fabian took more casualties this time. Biondo take a good position in the centre. The allies are not defeated :Wag finger

The allies are STILL not defeated :bonaparte
Joking apart, great battle.
Asid and Fabian decided to push hard against our left commanded by ciampo, our CinC this time, and Colbert.
I was commanding two infantry divisions south of la Haye. My orders were just to probe the enemy in order to buy time for our left to flank the enemy but if the allies have decided to reinforce their right then I have took initiative attacking in the centre.
When the game started I immediately saw enemy cavalry moving from east to west followed by the guards and, after a feint against my left, also by the Dutch troops.
It was clear that Asid and Fabian wanted to repulse ciampo and Colbert from western flank which was really a dangerous position for the allies.
In front of me I had British troops lined up on the ridge between Hougoumont and la Haye and, as I wrote before, also some Dutch that after a brief musket exchange moved west.
I moved forward my cavalry in order to try to attract some men from the west but my horses were welcomed by an artillery barrage and squares.
I lost a squadron and I decided to move back cavalry in the rear to recover from the shock.
Some British skirmishers move forward but again was only a demonstration.
In the meantime Colbert wrote me that ciampo was heavily engaged. I answer him that I was going to prepare an assault on the enemy left flank with Donzelot's division.
I started to deploy my men for the advance when suddenly I saw the British infantry on the ridge moving on the left.
I thought they intercept my courier and knew what I was going to do.
But this movement was weakening their centre so I let them move still a bit on their left.
I set my two brigades of the left division in columns by division still feared to suddenly see enemy appears from the reverse slope.
Drums were beating le pas cadencè while my men were reaching the hill preceded by skirmishers.
There was only one battalion guarding the artillery. I charged and routed him and captured many guns while others were retreating because unsupported.
On the left flank I also made advance my cavalry to stop an eventual counterattack from west.
British on the left attacked one of my brigade southeast of la Haye but Grenier brigade did a great job helped by two batteries.
Near the end, British guards try to attack my position on the hill.
For a mistake I wasted three of four squadrons I still had against guards squares.
Far on northwest I saw Asid regrouping his heavy cavalry.
What will be next allied movements?
Where will the French try to attack to defeat them?
We will see in the next part...
