A helicopter crash left a group of explorers stranded near an Arctic base. As they try to find a way back, all they are doing is sinking deeper into a nightmare scenario. When they sleep, they attract a terrifying force that sucks the life out of their bodies, but the longer they battle exhaustion and stay awake, the less likely they are to survive...

As the survivors try to sleep just enough to stave off fatigue without dying, they slowly go mad and eventually reach the point where they can no longer trust their senses. In time, they can't even tell the difference between reality and a hallucination.

Guide the survivors through a randomly generated Arctic base, overcome the severe climate and fight the unfathomable!


Features

Experience Distorted Reality
The longer the survivors stay awake, the more twisted their perceptions of reality will become. The manifestations of their madness can range from harmless sounds to dangerous hallucinations. Eventually, you won't be able to tell reality from twisted fantasy. To your advantage, you can swap between survivors to see their surroundings, to observe, compare and analyze, and to determine what is and is not real.

Randomly generated levels
The levels are randomly generated. Each time you start a new game, you'll encounter a new set of quests and tasks. Randomly appearing psychoses adds replay value to Distrust.

Multiple endings
Apart from the countless deaths you'll experience, the game offers four endings. Some can be achieved by reaching certain checkpoints while you play. Others can be the result of a split-second decision.

A variety of characters
Before setting out, you will choose two survivors out of a cast of 15 characters. Each team member has their own skills, which allow you to develop a survival plan and map out your strategy accordingly.

Attention all polar survivors!

Over the last day, our Rescue Operation Center has received many urgent messages.

We would like to inform you about the following updates:
•   Many of you felt the pain of loss when you couldn’t inject adrenaline into an unconscious partner after entering the next zone. Now you will be able to save him/her!
•   Electric anomalies ignored your traps. The electrician from the neighborhood base agreed to repair the welding of trap cables for a cup of hot coffee, so from now on the traps should work just fine.
•   We talked sense into Emil Gustav. Now his presence on the map doesn’t cause graphic artifacts.
•   Our polar explorers are super pros, but they are not omnipotent. This is why from now on they will not be able to loot bags with items removed from the inventory through the walls.
•   Now a character killed by the red anomaly will always look into the face of his/her murderer.
•   The map now shows workbenches for tool repairs so it is more convenient for our polar explorers to find them.
•   Sometimes the base generated places where characters couldn’t go. We got rid of these places.
•   All entrance doors will be highlighted regardless of power in the building.
•   We fixed the quest with three heavy bags and a supply platform: now bags will not disappear and you will always be able to load the platform to come to the next zone.
•   We added an error message when a saved file is corrupted. It will rescue you from freezing when loading the game!
•   Now you will not hear any extraneous noises during pause, only ominous silence.
•   We improved the translation of in-game texts.

We are standing by for messages about abnormal incidents and will react swiftly!

Rescue Operation Center received a photo report from the Ushuaia expedition.

In conditions of permafrost, the winner managed to capture the beauty of the local fauna and snow-white mountains.

The winning polar chose to remain visual incognito.

Rescue Operation Center has found a mysterious file that shows a small device broadcasting the polar base live!

It is not yet clear who left this file, what kind of device it is and when such a program becomes available for polar explorers.

At the moment, all measures are being taken to establish accurate information.
