I tried this briefly today.

This mod is substantially louder with more depth. I have noticed a distinct lack of reverb. Also when discharging a weapon inside a building the sound is the same as outside the building. This is the same for mod and vanilla.

I will continue using this for a while to get a better feel for it. Just gotta stop dying long enough!
