Mission Summary :
Battalion size mission consisting of 1 recon company-, 1 CAV Squadron, 1 Armor Company, and 1 breaching company.The current situation has stabilized. NATO forces have halted the Russian advance. Current intelligence shows elements of the 4th Tank Guard set in defensive positions to our East. NATO forces are to move North, breach the obstacle zone, recon/movement to contact to the Southeast, in order to threaten the enemy flank, and force a retreat of the enemy.

1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
Elements of the 4th Tank Guard consisting of 2+ companies of T-72, 3 companies of BMP-2, and one company of infantry support, are conducting defensive flank operations. Intel shows possible obstacles protecting their flank, and are supported by up to 4 batteries of artillery.
b) Own:
TF Hawk Combined NATO forces consisting of US, and German forces are set to conduct recon, obstacle clearance, and movement to contact, in order to collapse the enemy flank, and force a withdraw.
Alpha Troop Platoons (2xM3A2, 2xM1A2SEP, 2xM1064A3, FISTV, Support/Supply)
Bravo Company Platoons (4xLeo2A5A2-DK, Support/Supply, CO/XO)

I will confirm this with the CO beef, but everyone should meet on our TS at least 45mins prior to mission. We will switch over to others 15-30 mins before game start to setup communications in their TS.

45 minutes sounds good Cougar. We'll need to work out any glitches on the others server. What are your thoughts about a comm check on their server before/after the Saturday mission?

Operations Order: Higher HQ has disseminated their warning order/op plan and I've been digesting it since last night. I'm working on our plan. In the meantime, brush up on your scouting and recon skills everyone.

You can show up 15-30 mins early to others, or ours first.

You will have to ask Abbadon, as they are the higher HQ for the mission. I am not sure how much planning you can do, as you will not be able to move any forces at the start. I am hesitant to send it, as then you will have an idea of where all the blue is. If I strip out the blue force, then you will not be able to save any graphics. Let me know what you are planning, and or talk with Abbadon. Let me know.

I know what units blue side has, but i don't know where they are because i have no idea what is Beef's plan. Just strip out the blue force so i can start thinking some kind of plan.

Just a reminder for everyone, that these missions can take 2-4 hour depending on everyone showing up on time, number of session drops, progression within the mission, good cooperation between units, the enemy, and normal game play on a large map. Throw in breaching operations, and scouting, and it could take awhile. I see this going 3 hours give or take 30 mins most likely. The AAR at the end will be by company to themselves, and between upper units commanders in separate AARs.

Thanks to everyone for participating in this event. The platoon commanders did very well and the mission would not have been a success without them. The Task Force commander and Bravo Company was impressed with how well the breach phase went. That was a direct result of finding the minefields, suitable breaching locations, and exploiting the gap on the northern edge.

Thanks for taking me in in the middle of the game. My bad that I was late and I can't express how sorry I was. I had severe lag throughout the game, which proves once again that in-progress join does not work, particularly for games of this size. I saw units where there weren't and didn't see friendly units where they were supposed to be. Hoping for a better performance next time.

Yes great mission Cougar and great commanders and everyone on both sides.
It was good to be playing again, was quite a large mission with lots of moving parts to be the one to jump back into after being away for so long but I really enjoyed it.
Having never commanded a Brad I cant say im a big fan but they are cool "little" guys :) Now can I have my SEP back please?
Thanks to Asid for letting me follow him around the whole mission while I got used to playing again.
