Title: T-72 Shooting Gone Wrong
Post by: Lumituisku on July 27, 2016, 06:44:17 PM

When you fire a shell, a special device on the barrel "ejects" the gases from the barrel. When you fire blanks there is no shell to create presser in the barrel and this device is not working. The T-72 has automatic loading system, when the shell (or the blank) is fired the breech opens automatically and in this case the gases fill up the tank. The crew had to switch off the automatic breech opening, but they probably forgot.

Same here actually...  but I re-checked this video and comments to see if someone knew what it was all about and found answer from comments that many said that they have had same experience. Apparently this is one very typical event that rather many t-72 operators have experimented  :P
