I think it goes without saying, but if you did not ask to use a mine, or it is not your (meaning you did not dig the tunnel and setup the supports) do not use it!!!!

I have allowed people to digg in my mine. Offcource they have asked and know the way I deal with the mine and will deal with it the same way. This does not mean that the same rules apply for other mines owned by other people...

So unless specificaly cleared you are right.
