The best bit for me is "Confident that the beautiful Viennese would never be able to understand their technical conversations they talked freely in front of her." Haha! She was a trophy-wife then, but years later she would turn the tables on the Nazis by using everything she remembered and knew about munitions, plus her inventive and scientific skills. That from a Hollywood bombshell! She hated the Nazis and used her beauty (raising war-bonds) and brains (frequency switching patent) to fight against the enemy.
