How can you tell how many losses a unit can take before it is destroyed?

It should be based on unit DF.  Once DF is reduced to 0, the unit is destroyed.  I checked section 5.0 combat rules to verify, but I did not see this mentioned.  Maybe it's mentioned elsewhere, or perhaps Ron needs to update the rules manual to clarify this.  But that's what I recall from his previous games.

pzgndr is right.  All Schwerpunkt games have worked this way. I could not find it either!
I'll add text to the Help - Combat rules.
