Next year marks the bicentennial of the Battle of Waterloo, when French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by an international force led by England and Prussia. Just in time for the observance, a retired U.S. military officer is recreating the battlefield - in miniature, with a quarter-million tiny hand-painted soldiers. VOA's June Soh got a preview. Did someone say "for 20 years"? Painting figures was a way for him to relax after a stressful day's work in anti-terrorism. 2:26 is awesome. He needs an area the size of a volleyball court to place all his pieces to reenact the battle in all its fullness. Whoa....! His eyesight is really good.
