I've the impression that my colleagues and especially myself have felt the effects of the summer break. We were too slow  :Wag finger

Thanks for the video tadzio :thumbsup

This time I remember to took some pictures during the battle, hope to have time to upload them soon.

I agree with what you stated about the slowness of manoeuvres of your side. Did you understand immediately that only a small part of our army was at the first objective?

Well, we can say that during the battle one of those events occurred that make this game so different from everything I've played over the years, I refer, of course, to the problem of cross couriers.

When we deployed in our initial positions (10:19) (https://youtu.be/sqBb7AGRKSg?t=97) I received instructions from Asalex to occupy objective 2. So that was my approach after receiving the mail, to take the column as a first step to Wurselen.

However, at 10:23 (https://youtu.be/sqBb7AGRKSg?t=101) I got in sight of the objective and saw the presence of Prussian cavalry brigade, I advised to Asalex and I immediately sent him another courier  (10:24) telling that I could try to follow the plans because the road had a wooded area that could hide my advance.

And now the cross couriers:

At 10:25 I got a mail from Asalex telling me to deploy the batteries to bombard the objective and thus soften the Prussian position. So that's what I did, I left my brigades in the rear and placed two of my three batteries to bombard the position. However, at 10:34 (https://youtu.be/sqBb7AGRKSg?t=140) I received another courier approving my plan to continue advancing towards the second objective. But, at that time I saw no Prussian presence to the east and I preferred to hold the position waiting for Asalex and Sandman to launch the attack on objective 1. I sent a courier (10:37) to Asalex with my position and intentions.

At 10:49 Asalex encouraged me to advance towards objective 2 because they were already fighting on the first objective and it was a few minutes later at 10:51 (https://youtu.be/sqBb7AGRKSg?t=188) when I saw Prussian flags east of my position heading towards objective 2.

If I had followed the initial plan, I would have occupied objective 2 because it was closer and I had a good division to protect it, but it is true that the presence of Prussian cavalry coerced us at that moment.

About the attack on your position, I tried to do it from my left because I didn't see your batteries from my position, however it was not so, you had a good batch of them and I "swallowed" a good amount of powder, then I had to abort the attack.  :Thumb_down

To make it short:

You must not play 2-hours-scenarios like 3-hours-scenarios!!!   :teach

This has to be the conclusion after a couple of matches like that.
The short scenarios are designed to come into action soon and its all about pace and much more risk.  :Lancer

Extensive scouting, propper and careful deployments or softening lines by preparing and executing bomardments - this will mostly lead to defeat and unfinished battles, cos time ends right before any climax.  :dunno

Also, when playing scenarios with an emphasis on objectives and points, it is absolutely vital to achieve and to use any opportunity to secure such.

Talking about last match, the allied side, according the chosen approach, had to take over obj no. 1 with all its might and then the bonus obj. could have made the difference.
But also because Asalex had his Cav Bde not available until the mid game, this requirement was even harder to reach, beause the prussian Cav occupied the target in an early stage.

Final stage of the battle. After having repulsed an attack from Tadzio in the south, enemy cavalry is deploying in the north faced by our last cavalry reserve supported by infantry and artillery
