The British strikes back: Milan Late War Tournament report
October 25, 2019 | Paolo Paglianti

The new Late War books sparkled lots of interest here in Italy: old players from V3 dusted their armies buried at home and began to play back, while Mid War veterans found a reason to expand their WW2 legions.

As we discussed often here on NDNG, the new balance with tank costs almost halved creates a more mobile metagame, with lots of armoured vehicles going around on the wargaming table.

As a result, were going to have not one but TWO tournaments in Milan this Fall. The first one happened on October 6th and saw almost 20 players coming from all Northern Italy (and one from Switzerland!), while we are already accepting entries for the second one, on December 15th (99 points Late War Tournament).

D.O.W. Steel Beasts Sunday Mission 03/11/19 @ GMT18:00

This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.

NAI Cointoss by Gary Owen

Okay Lieutenant,

Your scout platoon, HORSESHOE, is understrength -- your third section is still attached to the brigade chemical S&M (surveillance and monitoring) team. That leaves you with just four M3 Bradley crews.

We've got a tank regiment organised as a forward detachment barreling down the highway at us. It's equipped with T-80s and BMP-2s. The S-2 (battalion intelligence staff officer) expects that it will attack from the march but that its RAG, regimental artillery group, will be deployed in firing positions by the time that their main body hits our FLOT (forward line of troops).

The main body will be preceeded by patrols from the regimental recon company. These patrols will consist of BRDMs and BRMs (BRMs are depicted in the scenario as BMP-1s without ATGMs). We expect at least three such patrol teams. Along the general axis of advance, the regimental recon patrols will be followed by at least one CRP, or combat reconnaissance patrol consisting of a reinforced tank platoon. The CRP may or may not patrol along the intended route...

About INDIAFOXTECHO - TA-4 Skyhawk "Scooter"

A detailed rendition of the popular naval jet trainer derived from the "Heinemann's Hot Rod". Features a detailed visual model with multiple liveries, detailed cockpit and realistic flight model.

The TA-4 Skyhawk (often nicknamed "Scooter") is the trainer version of the venerable Douglas A-4 Skyhawk.
In the Unites States Navy the TA-4J configuration was introduced to a training role replacing the TF-9J Cougar. The TA-4J served as the advanced jet trainer in white and orange markings for decades until being replaced by the T-45 Goshawk. Additional TA-4Js were assigned to Instrument Training RAGs at all the Navy master jet bases under RCVW-12 and RCVW-4. The Instrument RAGs initially provided jet transition training for Naval Aviators during the time period when Naval Aviation still had a great number of propeller-driven aircraft and also provided annual instrument training and...
