Title: Serious Map error in coastal hexes of North Africa
Post by: Franciscus on January 11, 2018, 07:54:34 PM
Hi

I only now noticed that a serious error exists in the map in North Africa. From Tunis until Alexandria all coastal hexes with road have also a railroad (when we Ctrl LB over them and functionally - it is possible to make strategic RR moves in these hexes). But graphically there is only rairoad from Tunis to Gabés, around Tripoli and from Salum until Alexandria and beyond.

I think the correct is to only have railroad where it is graphically represented on the map itself

Regards

This was done on purpose to allow supply to flow on the coast road.  I limited the number of Strategic RR moves in these scenarios to compensate.

Thanks,
Ron

I thought it was that. But it would be much better to tweak the supply according to the written rules - that imply that there are road hexes that can be allowed to carry supply.

It would be more logic, coherent and elegant...

I have it on my fix list, but it is a low priority.  The game currently has roads and railroads.  Addressing this elegantly would require a third type, roads that carries supplies but do not allow strategic RR moves.  Significant code change to add a new type at this time, but do-able.

For now, I am focused on completing all scenarios.  My goal is to finish those this calendar year.  Then I will get back to game improvements and refinements.

Thanks.  Please keep commenting, as I keep a log of all comments received, so that I can eventually respond to them.
