New cameraman to leave testimony of our battles, great work Jakmin!! :Soldier_salute

Yesterday wasn't the best day for the emperor. I think the attack from the south took you by surprise, didn't it?

Thanks Jakmin for the videos.

Stefano

French
Colbert CiC
Jakmin

Presy63

As you can see by the replay in the first video, I deployed one division to hold the northern objective, Clinton's division with Lechi and Stefano commanding a brigade each and a third brigade under AI control. I reinforced this position with heavy batteries from Drummond reserve artillery.

Colville division under AI was placed south of Clinton to guard their southern flank; in the beginning it was placed west of the river but after I scouted the eastern side of the river, I found a better place deploy that division; from there, they could fight against an enemy from the east on good ground or flank any enemy who would try to attack in the north.

Behind Colville I placed a cavalry regiment of two squadrons who have to act as support.

The rest of the Somerset cavalry division was sent to the rear of Cole division, south of Colville. I moved this division a lot during the battle, trying to get in touch with enemy cavalry

My first plan was to hold Colville as reserve behind Cole who should have probe the southern objective from the road in between the towns of Gartz and Zwellbrucken with Picton's division launching the main attack from Zwellbrucken.

After some minutes of march and some couriers exchange with sandman, I decided for the manoeuvre you have seen in the replay with Cole's division probing Jakmin from Zwellbrucken and sandman moving to the south with Picton's division and attacking from there.

In the north we saw at least one infantry division and all the cavalry, massing on the ridge east of the objective, in the meantime, Presy63 commanding J. Bonaparte division launch an attack against Colville in the centre.

I moved Somerset to the north and spurred sandman to attack knowing that the French had no cavalry to the south. Sandman's attack was devastating and the French lost the objective. In the centre Colville was inflicting heavy casualties to Bonaparte.

I galloped to the south to move forward Cole's division because I saw that Jakmin turned his guns against sandman and I wanted to put some pressure over him.

Cole was crossing the river to attack Foy/Jakmin when I received a courier from Lechi telling me that many french forces were leaving their position in the north to come to rescue to the south.

I immediately pulled back Cole and ordered sandman to do the same because of the imminent danger falling upon him.

This defensive manoeuvre by the French saved the southern objective but opened the door for us in the north.

Lechi and Stefano left their position (after the last infantry division left his position on the ridge) and attack J. Bonaparte from the north.

Colbert tried a counterattack moving his cavalry to the west and then moved north together with Jakmin, with SamuelGim holding the objective. Without cavalry around sandman resumed his attack.

The battle ended with more than 5000 casualties of difference in our favour.

Thanks to all the participants :howdy
