Title: Video problems
Post by: RedWardancer on March 05, 2021, 02:10:47 AM
Finally learned how to record in HD.

So I thought...

This was a Sunday mission with others.  Upon viewing after the mission, I loaded up to YouTube.  The video quality is indeed HD.  The audio works fine.  So what's the problem?

The video runs well during the mission briefing.  Once play begun, the screen doesn't move.  It's as if I uploaded a bunch of screen savers, while audio is running perfectly.  What gives?

I wonder too. What recording software are you using?

OSB.  I conducted a bit more research.  Turns out it's a combination of problems.  First of which is that 4.250 is buggy on a number of levels.  The second is my antiquated GeForce 745 is not up to par with high def recording.  The solution is to work more overtime and save the money for upgrades.  Only a question of either buy an overpriced GPU or get a whole new PC.

Out of curiosity, have you tried using the NVENC recording mode in OBS? That's what I use, and it might work for you.

I have not used that.  But I do need to improve my GPU nonetheless.
