Title: Any Tacview Guide in writing?
Post by: Razor18 on January 27, 2021, 03:47:40 PM
Hello Gents,

I know there is a ton of video guides on youtube, but is there any comprehensive guide about tacview describing all the available functions in written form?

I just didn't find any info about the difference between Cockpit view, Pilot view, and TIR view. But all other information would be very useful in a written Guide or User Manual.

Thanks for feedback !

Hi,

There is some documentation on the website: http://tacview.net/documentation/index/

And the wiki is always a work in progress: http://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/Tacview_Wiki

If you have any questions just let me know.

Hi,

I just posted it in my OP  ;)

"...I just didn't find any info about the difference between Cockpit view, Pilot view, and TIR view. ..."

I don't think any of the links you pointed out containing the very basic "what is what in TacView" kind of guide or answers.

Thanks for your info anyway !

Hi,
Pilot view permit to see the move of the head (in DCS it's recorded but if i'm right it's only for the pilot who register the tacview not for each)
Cockpit view is the normal cockpit view if you want move you have to use you mouse
TrackIR view is the cockpit view but using a Track IR for move so when you move your head it move in Tacview

Best records
