I'm using the Beta 1.7.2 and it works fine except for three issues:
1) The recorded time does not correspond to the game time ... for example I start the mission at 5:45am but TacView says that it started at 2:15am. This happens on every Map.
2) When flying over Normandy or Persian Gulf, on the flight record the Landings and Takeoffs dont state the name of the airfield.
3) The map windows on Normandy and Persian Gulf dont show the runway
Hope this can be fixed on a future upgrade,
Best regards,
Eduardo

Rudel? Flew Stuka in over 2,000 missions in WW2 and survived it. I have his book.

1) Tacview currently display the UTC time. You may notice an offset of +/- hours depending on the map, because I wanted the sun to be in the same position as in DCS World. (I think that DCS World local time is not always correct, for example not taking into account DST or other factors). I have planned to add an option for local time, but this is harder than it looks, so this will be for a future update.
2&3) I did not have the time yet to integrate the airfields for the Normandy and Persian Gulf maps. This is why they are not visible and not recognized by Tacview in the event log. This will come eventually.

Thanks a lot for the response, hope you are able to add local time on the future since it allows one to check if the flight data corresponds to a night or day flight.
If the DCS time isnt fully precise isnt as important as to just have the same time both while flying the mission and afterwards when analyzing it.
Hope the Normandy & Persian Gulf gets the airfields soon, tough on my case it isnt as important as point (1).
Best regards and kudos for a fantastic software.

As a side note: Tacview displays a day or a night sky depending on the time when the camera is relatively close to the ground. This may bu useful while waiting for the local time display.

For some reason my tacview isn't recording anything, any suggestions?

Assuming you are flying in DCS World, did you check the dedicated documentation?

Can you share your dcs.log file? It contains useful diagnostic information which can help to pinpoint the problem.
