Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift, previously scheduled for release on August 20th, has been postponed.
The story mode and the multiplayer mode are both fully complete and playable at this stage, but developer QED decided to take three extra months of work to improve the game, polish it and ultimately make it better.
As soon as we identify the new release date, we will make sure to let you know.
To those who were eagerly waiting to play Tactical Troops, rest assured QED is working hard to deliver the best experience. It will all be worth the wait.

Your elite squad of mercenaries will journey through the beautiful yet dangerous environments of the exotic planet over the course of a 20-hour-long singleplayer campaign. Your tactical expertise will be put to test over and over again by the gridless movement system, smart enemies and the well-placed teleports.
But extraterrestrial animals, space pirates, evil robots and enemy governments won’t be the only opposing forces you’ll encounter on Anthracite. Get ready to fight other players in online and hot-seat skirmishes. Compete in Domination and Devastator modes to become the highest ranked commander.

• Tactical turn-based strategy with girdles movement - soldiers can gain positional advantage with no restrictions;
• Teleportation - teleports scattered around the battlefield are a powerful tool for flanking opponents, taking cover and even shooting from unexpected angles;

Hello,
In just a few days, we are opening the Multiplayer Playtest for everyone! Don’t have the game yet? Don’t worry! For two weeks, everyone can play, using everything that the multiplayer mode offers.
What to do to participate? Simply sign up.
If you join, you will be able to play both multiplayer modes - the devastator and the domination using a full arsenal of weapons (among others: SMGs, rifles, machine guns, rocket launches) and of course, dozens of one-of-a-kind items to match your unique game style.
Why did we decide for the Multiplayer Playtest?
Because of Sensei. It’s our game analytic platform, which provides guides and support to players. You may think of it as a game specific mentor or coach, which helps you to analyze your game and playstyle.
But for Sensei to be a great coach it needs practice, well actually it needs data from game logs.
After Sensei has “seen” enough games, it can then help players improve their skills. You’ll get:
- replays of all of your games with various heatmaps (eg. best sniping position)

- visualizations of the player's ranking change in time,
- view of the most popular loadouts for different maps,

Hurray 🎉- It's been a year now!
Exactly a year ago on 04/15/2021 Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift came to Steam and to your computers. We would like to thank all of those who have been with us this year and invite all those who are still hesitatant to come to Anthracite. In May we will add an update that will change things up a little bit when it comes to PvP and PvE games in Domination and Devastator modes - the largely requested Field of View functionality will finally enter the multiplayer matches!
Since actions speak louder than words, there's also an anniversary discount - the game is now 70% off. This will not happen again soon, so go hunt down this opportunity. The discount will be active until Monday, April 18th 2022, until 8:00 p.m. CEST.

PLAYTEST has officially started, with a slight slippage, but it's here.
During this PLAYTEST, we want to test the fog of war mechanics before we bring it to the game permanently.
Fog of War is a mechanic thanks to which we do not see units until they appear in our field of view.
During the PLAYTEST, the player will have a choice of two game modes: hotseat and multiplayer.
Hotseat - a mode in which on one computer can play against each other two human players as well as a human player against our AI.
Multiplayer - a mode in which one of the players starts an online game and the other joins it. In this mode, we can only play against human opponents.
We count on your feedback, how you play with this change, whether the battles are more interesting, more unpredictable, or maybe just the opposite - the game is worse. Let us know what you think about this change.
