An article from War On the Rocks titled "Science Fiction No Longer: Enhancing Military Readiness through Synthetic Training" reviews the value of live-virtual-constructive training for enhancing military readiness.

The authors mention VBS3 in the article when reviewing the power of virtual training to immerse and engage trainees in learning to perform under the pressures of battle. Synthetic training also contributes to recruitment efforts, enables knowledge transfer and offers cost saving to defense organizations.
