Title: Falcon BMS Server?
Post by: Asid on May 01, 2016, 09:24:23 PM
We are experimenting with a Falcon BMS server.

•   Falcon has a dynamic campaign.
•   Falcon 4.0 is very cheap and the BMS add-on is free.
•   Multiple theatres are a bonus.
•   Lots of video tutorials.

This will be a limited test with a limited number of slots.

More info incoming.

Is there interest for some BMS in DOW?  Been cutting my teeth with UOAF and generally not messing things up too mbadly.

The interest is there....The time is the issue. Also the different time zones.

What times? Days would be good for folks?

I am UK presently UTC =1hr

For me:...... Best times given commitments is during day which would equate to AM US time. Some evenings in week but probably not until 1930hrs (UTC 1830 until end October when clocks change)

Still need to check how to host a game of BMS

I am 2hrs in front of UTC (berlinian time^^, MET = UTC +2hrs), so i would prefer the evening time of the days (more so on Friday or Thursday), or the recommended teamspeak time on Saturday 11:00 o'clock UTC.

I still am new to the online server stuff, so i would need help to connect to you guys.

I am in Arizona, or UTC-7 (a.k.a. "Tango" timezone in military parlance) and am usually (though not recently) on between 0100 and 0500 Zulu (a.k.a. UTC) weekdays. I work 4-10s and have Saturday through Monday as days off--though my weekends seemed to have disappeared recently. I've got a few hours under my belt in flight sims, to include BMS. I would be glad to fly with folks here and establish some framework for multiplayer and becoming proficient in the pit.

I will keep an eye out in case one of your sessions comes up when I can get online. So many are just when I am getting the evening meal for me and the wife.

Probably i still have those software-teamspeak-issues, so i would only be some mute guy, but there should be somewhere a chat window ingame, and anyway if the radio is broadcasting with the right frequency, we could exchange standard messages.

-or not so standard ones like-
Buddy Lock ^^
or Gingerbread,
Heads up
Holding Hands (cute abbreviation code)
Pancake
Playmate
"Wilco" (aha, interesting abbreviation code)

You really need to get a USB headset/mic combo. They are relatively inexpensive. Most of these games can only be played with voice comms.

I am tempted to give Falcon a shot. Does BMS work with the Steam version? I see its like $6 & very nearly bought it last night.
