My concept is that we play a campaign like Don King would organize. First up will be Tjay at UK Armor and I would expect a KO in the first round.
Ultimately, we will be facing the Germans and the Russians, with some Americans and Australians in between.
Unfortunately Don King will not be funding the purses, so we will be doing this for bragging rights only.

A few questions first. What the hall is SNP?
Second is how do you plan on going about this? What is your training plan prior to each fight? What is your game plan? Crewed or single player tanks? What tanks will we use? What types of maps/missions? Who will command unit, platoons, sections, and vehicles? When would these be played? What is the timetable on the first and following matches or between matches?
Next my question would be are people ready for this individually, and the VU as a whole? This is much different than wanting to do this. Easier to talk the talk than walk the walk. Remember you are talking about bragging rights, and that can swing both ways in a small community.
Bragging rights and talking smack are two different things. I would not be OK with smack talk between VU units, as great victors do not need to talk themselves up, but are gracious, humble, and leaders.
My concerns is that this will have a negative impact on the VU, within the VU, and the SB community either right away, or in the future.
Do not get me wrong by thinking I am scared, or worried, or yellow. I see a bigger picture than just having a battle, the rush, victory, and having bragging rights.
I do not agree with anything the VU wants to do if it is not thought out, planned, and executed properly to have the highest possible success.

That was a joke for Asid's benefit. The Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) lost last years referendum re independence, but since then have been climbing rapidly in the polls against Labor and now look like being the third largest party in the House of Commons in the election next Thursday. As well as wanting independence, the want rid of Trident. Our four submarines are parked in a Loch in the West of Scotland.

I agree with you on this. Well said Gougar.

Option now there to change your mind - especially for those two who didn't understand the question. Any questions, please post and I will reply as best as I am able.

CONCEPT FOR A "MATCH"
My concept will be a two or three round event, as required like a Soccer qualifier where there is a home and away match to determine the aggregate
Round 1:
Attacker
2*Tank Plt, 2*IFV Plt with infantry, 6*Arty tubes
Defender
1*Tank Plt, 1* IFV Plt with infantry, 12*Arty tubes
Round 2:
Reverse player roles
Rules
Time limit of 60-90 mins. Attacker must breach defender line. Additional points for casualties +/-. If there is a decisive result, then the winner is declared (decisive to be defined). If not there is a playoff.
Playoff/penalty shoot out
Each team 1*Tank Plt, 1*IFV plt + infantry, no artillery.
Center map objective equidistant from Deployment Zones. Capture and hold with n vehicles for y minutes for the victor.

This sounds like it would work, especially with tweaks.
My other questions still have not been answered, or are clear enough for me.

Having spoken with Cougar, his points are as follows:-
1. Who will command our VU in battle?;
2. How will the commander know that his subordinates are competent?;
3. What kind of training plan will prepare the VU for a "Match"?.
All of which goes to say that:-
- We have a few HAVOC members who would be happy to C/O a match (you know who you are);
- We need to designate our crews (TC/Gunner - see previous post on this topic) and then train first as tank, then section, then platoon, then two platoons (as appropriate).
My hope, nay expectation, is that we can field two fully crewed M1A2 (SEP) platoons together with two managed (ie 1 per player M2A2 Platoons).
This would require 10 players, and then in defense, we would man up the Brads and add Drivers to the SEPs, as appropriate.
Comments please.
And I am glad that I have wasted enough time in my life learning XML and HTML, such that I am able to post this message without formatting errors.
