Of course you can take your chances until the next regular patch comes out.
It it installed just fine for you and if you don't participate in network games, I suppose the urgency is not so high. But there's always the danger that you forget about this snag and then Steel Beasts might behave oddly and it might be hard to track it down. So, please be so kind.

If you except the error of a completely new piece of software this has already simplified the process immensely its made so almost everybody with a screed of knowledge can use it the only little thing i would suggest is a strong emphasis on running the installer with admin rights as all users in windows are not running with admin rights pr default you have to specifically make them do or use the administrator account which is also pr definition wrong.
Also make sure that windows defender and firewall are off beside the antivirus if the first install dossent work as it have shot me down 2 times today
But this program have already saved me 2-3 hours of work today so yes they are straight forward at the very least compared to what we had so thumps up to Nils and the boys thank you very much.

Well, the upgrade is not straightforward because we tried to make the installer easier (one unified link, to install everything), and look what happened.
But that is the nature of software development; you try different methods that look fine for the testing base, but then when it gets 'into the wild' it turns out there are other issues. What matters, I think, is that we try to fix those issues, and don't just go dark. But at least we are using a free update to learn here for next time...
As for my previous comment of the upgrades not being straightforward, this is my fault I did not take the time to read anything and assumed that this upgrade would continue the past trend of being overly complicated. I admit (after reading a few notes) I was wrong.

thanks. the CV9040B and CV9040C were some of the first vehicles created for steel beasts pro pe way back in 2006, after the danish leopard 2A5DK and pizarro, and the second real military vehicle i ever got to explore the insides of in person. i remember sitting for the better part of 3 whole days inside the CV9040B troop compartment with my laptop, taking measures, pictures, asking the crew about specific details on the vehicle and modeling the interior..
needless to say, the exterior model was in dire need of a proper update.
and yes, the vehicles in general look better now, thanks to a new lighting update that Mike has done. it takes into consideration environment light colour, which makes the vehicles blend in better with the environment. it's sort of primitive PBR. it's not perfect, but a huge step up from the older lighting system.
