1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
An ENY Cavalry Troop (+) is attempting to delay the 39th Guards Motorized Rifle Division's westward advance through Route I-270.
b) Own:
3rd Tank Battalion (minus one tank company) and one company of the 2-3 Motorized Rifle Battalion are the only forces available for the task of dislodging the ENY's positions in OBJ Goliath and OBJ Achiles.
c) Attachments and detachments: NONE.
2) MISSION:
Secure OBJ Goliath, OBJ Achilles, and destroy ENY forces in order to avoid future interference with our advance.
3) EXECUTION:
The two tank companies attack by fire from positions Sling and Arrow while the rifle company clears OBJ Goliath and OBJ Achilles.
a) Concept of Operation:
You are in command of the rifle company.
i) Maneuver:
Once the tank companies engage enemy tanks in OBJ Achilles or OBJ Goliath, your rifle company is to move forward at once. Codeword to start the movement is "Irina". The assault on OBJ Goliath and Achilles is to be executed at your discretion.
ii) Fires:
Indirect fire is available, 18 tubes.HE, smoke, ICM and FASCAM fire missions are available. Artillery calls are shared with the entire force.
iii) Additional assets:
NONE.
b) Tasks to Maneuver units:
At your discretion.
c) Tasks to Combat Support Units:
At your discretion.
d) COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Be watchful of artillery missions called by other units. Codeword to start your movement towards the objective areas is "Irina".
