Multiplayer bug!
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4002268
Unfortunately there is a bug in multiplayer when using full fog of war. This is a show stopper.
Was posted on Matrix forums 6 Jan 2016... Still no fix... I have seen this before in older Matrix titles. It is annoying though as this was recently updated and advertised in the last sale. I know they can't support a product indefinitely but one of the most interesting features "full FOW" cannot be used in MP. >:( The dev has been on the forum recently and discussed another issue but apparently ignored this big one.
This has affected the game I was going to play with JasonPratt. :'(
Oh well

Update on the update
I received word from Matrix that there will be no updates/fixes in the near future.
I would not hold out for anything long term but you never know.
Still a great game.
Regards

Campaigns on the Danube 3.05 Update
Changes
- New playback system: a more streamlined single system rather than multiple systems depending on whether its a 2 player game, solitaire or different levels of fog. Now there is always a playback just as there used to be in only the full fog version. Spotting is more detailed, units can shift into and out of view in a single playback.
- Around 50 minor fixes done based on forum feedback

Update 20/07/17
By Frank Hunter (Dev)
"I will fix whatever bugs I've missed with this update as promptly as I can."
-
I want to buy this game and I am happy to see they are updating it frequently.
-
I like that game. It's very easy to learn, very fast to play but you have to think carefully on what to do.
It's like chess.
You can also play with full fog of war, this means that enemy but also friendly positions are not drawn in real time but with delay due to the fact that their position is reported by couriers.
Like every game is not absolutely bug free but as you said is still well supported

Campaigns on the Danube 1805 - 1809 >> Version 3.06 under way
7 July 2019

"Hello, I've gone through all the reports going back to the release of 3.05 and have compiled a to-do list.
A few have already been fixed
- the start date of the 1805 Late Russian Arrival scenario.
- the missing Austrian corps in the Charles takes command in 1805 scenario.
- Argentau's division in all 1809 scenarios
- the use of the "mouse over" providing stack numbers in games with Fog-of-war on
A couple of things will require some major surgery inclusing changes to the data footprint so I can't give an eta except to say it should be "soon" "

"I see supply movement was being called twice per turn, that bug must have appeared in the last version or possibly the one before. Supply is going to move somewhat slower in the next version.
I've also changed supply to require messengers and put limits on how much supply can leave a town in a day. The latter was originally in the old 1806 and 1809 games, I believe that limit was dropped when Danube was published.
I've redone Reports so that they are no longer deleted after they are read unless you explicitly do so. Also, all the popups such as "Hospital setting up in Linz" etc in Full Fog games have been moved to Reports that arrive by messenger. So no more instant information in Full Fog games except for knowing the weather.
The popup messages were sometimes cut off by lack of space for the characters required, that should be fixed now.
I read about some problems with blowing bridges, still looking for that."

This is a good news!
It's great to see this game is still supported. Hope Frank can fix those couple of bugs and then I could be ready for a campaign against a human player!

Still working on update
29 Sept 2020
My apologies for taking so long to put this together. I've had a lot of issues trying to get the balance working to my satisfaction between all the various factors including command stress/fatigue/morale/stragglers.
I have that area working now but I'm testing it still. I also have a short list of other things to look at when this part is done.
There's been quite a few small changes, mainly under the hood but still noticeable.
Some things that are done are :
a) I think all bug fixes mentioned on the forum
b) Changed march urgency so that divisions will tend to move more equally but will automatically take rest days based on the urgency. So urgency differences affect rest times, and not so much actual speed when moving.
c) Redid much of the Morale/Fatigue/Stragglers/Stress system to make it more historical
d) Moved all in-game text to external files to allow the game to be played in other languages
e) Adding and subtracting divisions from a corps now affect the Admin rating of the corps commander
f) Added randomized leader ratings as a start up option
g) Redid AI for supply system to better anticipate needs. The AI benefits from this the most.
Thank you for your patience!

An update on the development of the new patch of cotd. It seems it'll be a big step instead of a simple bug fixing.
