"Hello Captains.
Pre-orders will be stopping tonight.
We have got enough data and enough early alpha testers to work on the current early state of combat features.
We also do not have enough man resources to provide the excellent level of support if player numbers increase further. We don't want to increase the internal community management team size at this stage as we want to focus solely on development.
During this quiet period we will increase the number of moderators and community volunteers.
Current features that we are working on:
1) Damage model improvements
2) Net code improvements
3) New ships
4) Open world early prototype testing
5) Improved ballistics
In the future - game will be available for purchase on Steam. "
