About This Game
BLACK DAY is a singleplayer shooter game based on infiltration.

BLACK DAY allow you to personalize the game experience by setting different variables such as equipment, number and types of enemies… therefore you can design a funny and easy game or set up a hardcore infiltration mission where even farting may result in your death…

Alpha 0.68 is now available. This major update delivers many in game improvements and additions.

First is the inclusion of 4 new Tanks making an appearance on the battlefield, inspired by famous real life models and offered in 4 versions (Russian ,German, Chinese and French). The Vehicle physics and overall performance have been completely reworked in order to offer a more satisfying experience.

The artificial intelligence has also been tweaked and improved for more realistic combat behaviours. The ai reacts a lot better in close combat situations and the detection system has also been rebalanced so ai behave in a more coherent fashion during infiltration missions.
Multiple bugs have been fixed and many minor improvements have been made to the game.

To start with It’s now possible to insert the mission area via a high altitude jump. Ideal to quickly infiltrate sectors behind enemy lines for a up close and personal insertion. It’s also possible to activate halo jump from the helicopter above the mission area if the altitude is right.

Also, a new asset has been added to your arsenal: Airstrikes. Point the desired target zone and unleash devastating firepower on enemy lines.

A new objective has also been added: Plant tracking device without getting spotted. A simple but difficult objective that will demand all your attention and discretion. If spotted objective will fail.

Talking about failing, 3 new difficulty options have also been added.
-Complete objectives in order: 1st Objective will appear at mission start and the next one will only be available after completion of the last.
-Mission Failure: If you fail an objective the mission is failed.
-Blood Brothers: If a teammate dies, mission is over and failed.

From now on teammates will try to reanimate the player if wounded and near death. So no more dying if a team member is nearby and can revive you. This adds longer survivability in combat. The A.I autonomy has also been enhanced to accommodate this task so teammates will try to aid and revive as soon as possible without any command orders from player.

To finish off, enemy patrols have been completely reworked. They now follow paths more coherently and can form squads of up to 8 soldiers
This update obviously adds tons of corrections and fix’s.

After several intense work days, I finally release to you this new update. The least we could say is that this update is going to greatly enhance squad gameplay tactics.

First of all the number of squad members passes from 4 to 6. You can now add 2 more teammates to your team and their fully customizable. In addition you can now decide how many teammates you bring on mission with you. A other big Improvement in this update is the complete revision of the squad command orders menu. You can now give many more orders to your teammates individually or as a group.

Activating the command menu will slow down game time for better and more precise command and execution of orders. Your missions will become more tactical and strategic.

Also squadmates will now communicate via radio during missions. They will report all events and actions carried out (spotted or neutralized enemies, target hits, injuries, grenade throws and more…). This will greatly enhance game immersion.

The next big addition to this update is the new map baptized: Redwood Forest.
A medium size map where vegetation is dense, military Bases and river streams mix alongside each other.

Second point. Instability while aiming with sniper scopes has been completly tweaked
and enhanced. It now reflects common FPS industry standards.
-Position influence: Crouche,prone or standing will influence your aiming capacities.
-Holding breath will stabalize your aim.

A small update is now online.

Concentrating primarly on the first person view, this update should fix most
undesirable bugs. The pain of having blocked animations and dissapearing arms when aiming has now been fixed.

Aiming a weapon in FPS view without scope is now more realitic. A light movement of the weapon will
make aiming a little more unstable depending on posture(crouching or standing)

Alpha 0.80 is finally released and its a big update that brings alot of new elements and improvements.

Lets start with the new map Redwood Forest winter version. This map is identical and offers the same richness as the original but in colder environment.
The map has also been greatly optimized in order to offer better performence.

To finish things off, Binoculars, Night and thermal vision goggles including the drone are all entierly seperate equipement that you may choose to
equip at the start of a mission. Each of these equipment now also have weight added to them.

and enhanced. It now reflects common FPS industry standards.

A small update is now online.
Concentrating primarly on the first person view, this update should fix most
undesirable bugs. The pain of having blocked animations and dissapearing arms when aiming has now been fixed.

Aiming a weapon in FPS view without scope is now more realistic. A light movement of the weapon will
make aiming a little more unstable depending on posture(crouching or standing)

Alpha 0.80 is finally released and its a big update that brings alot of new elements and improvements.

Lets start with the new map Redwood Forest winter version. This map is identical and offers the same richness as the original but in colder environment.
The map has also been greatly optimized in order to offer better performence.

To finish things off, Binoculars, Night and thermal vision goggles including the drone are all entirely separate equipment that you may choose to
equip at the start of a mission. Each of these equipment now also have weight added to them.

Black Day, a sandbox military infiltration game is now deploying its biggest and best update since the Early Access release.

Alpha 0.93 is finally online and ready for download. This update contains no less then eight major improvements and dozens of corrections and tweaks.

Lets start with the new ghillie suits that are now available.
This equipment is the snipers primary choice of camouflage. This suit not only offers great visuals but also gives a considerable bonus when infiltrating. Depending on your posture and mobility while also taking advantage of the terrain your chances of being detected by the enemy will be significantly reduced. AI Teammates can also be equipped with the ghillie suit and profit from its advantages.



A other important update is the new tutorial.
showing players how to use the controls and learn all the mechanics the game has to offer. This level will teach you how to play Black Day one step at a time.

Going forward with the update, I introduce to you a complete weapon audio overhaul.
Every weapon firing sound effect has been modified (with and without silencers). This offers a more realistic and immersive combat ambiance especially during intense firefights with AI.

A new functionality also makes it way into the game: Weapon aim restrictions. From now on if your weapon is blocked by any obstacle you will not be able to aim or shoot. The length of the gun cannon and suppressor now have a much greater importance especially during close combat engagements.

Also a new enemy makes his way onto the battlefield: Dogs of war. These animals have the capacity to scent your presence over short distances.
If detected they will not hesitate to alert and give away your position and will attack on sight.

As usual this update offers many corrections and tweaks as listed below.

I'm so sorry, I don't give news since 2 months on Black Day. Don't worry, I continue to work on my game ;)
But I have less free time since 2019. Maybe it require some explanations.

I'm a dad :D and take care of my sweet daughter need many times (like change diapers)
I'm hired for work official missions of ArmA 3 future extension (cannot say more...)
I'm hired too for work AI system on a VR game.

So, I have so much work for this year. Don't worry I continue to work on Black Day but updates will be more long to release.

VERY IMPORTANT !!! For each german player, I fix the mouse problem. Make you sure to delete your savegame if your current language ingame is german.

Re-launch Black Day, change language (English->German), Re-start game.
