Mission Summary :
Separatist forces have established a stronghold north-east of allied positions. We are bringing reinforcement but are still too weak to launch a full-scale assault. We were nonetheless ordered to launch a probing attack to reconnoitre enemy forces in the area.

1) SITUATION:
Spring 2016
Since the last year separatist forces have made considerable territorial gains which included Aldonian military depots with a wide array of military equipment captured in combat. Aldonian governments requested military aid from NATO and last month first units begun to arrive in the theatre. Danish Combat Task Force has sent their first units last week and after first short exercise at the gunnery range to boresight the guns and check their equipment, arrived near the front line two days ago.
a) Enemy:
Separatist forces are equipped with a variety of Russian made armour ranging from old T-72M1s to modernised T-77B3s thermal imagers. We also know that they have a lot of anti-armour missiles and RPGs. They are not heavily dug in although some obstacles may have been set.
b) Own:
Task Force HAVOC consist of 1 platoon of Leopard 2A5 DK-2 tanks and a 2 platoons of a CV9035DK plus support units.

Resupply and Medic
c) Attachments and detachments:
No indirect support in the area.
2) MISSION:
Our task is to determine composition and strength of enemy forice in the designated area. If possible take the town and the intersection but do not advance of you encounter heavy enemy opposition. We do not have any support forces in the area and enemy BUK batteries are still active, which precludes the use of our close support assets. The situation will change soom but we heave to deal with what we have at thee moment.
Use send Code SPEAR (Trigger 1) of you enemy forces are comprised mostly of light infantry unit, Code LONGOW if you come across APCs with light tank support and Code SWORD if enemy forces are supported by a tank company. In the latter case do not attempt to advance into the objective.
3) EXECUTION:
At your discretion commander. Minimise losses at all cost.
4) TERRAIN AND WEATHER:
We have good weather with good visibility now but a cold from is coming quickly. The terrain is not favourable and does offer plenty of opportunities for ambushes. Watch your flanks.
