Mission Summary :
Current conditions in the South Pacific Region have shown major aggression by the Peoples Liberation Army, and the Peoples Liberation Navy first taking Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and have finally landed on Australia. The PLA/PLN if successful will control a significant land mass to control the South Pacific from. Their goal is entire control in the region. Australia’s new role as a military power in the region, and some support from the US, will have to take back control of occupied areas of the main land, and then help in restoring conditions in the South Pacific.
Current situation is the PLA and control over a strategic area around the town of Verda. The ADF is tasked with retaking the area, and pushing PLA forces out of the region. Mission is to find, destroy, and or push back PLA forces, take back control of the area, and prepare for follow on missions.

Excerpts of the battalion commander's (HAVOC 6) orders for...BLUEFOR (D.O.W.)
1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
Battalion elements of the PLA 3rd armored division. Units consist of equivalent T72M4-T90, MGS systems, ATGM, artillery, CAS, and IFVs. They are well rested, and dug in with defensive positions.
b) Own:
Elements of the 1st Brigade including 3 ready platoons of M1A1s, 2 platoons of ASLAV25s, and support units.
c) Attachments and detachments:
Engineers, and an assault group consisting of 2 platoons of M1A1, and 2 M113AS4s.
2) MISSION:
1st Brigade will move South Southeast to secure Verde, and the surrounding area.
3) EXECUTION:
Intent: 1st Brigade will scout South Southeast to identify the location of enemy forces, and secure the city of Verda and the surrounding area.

Excellent mission. The OPFOR AI seemed a little more tricky than usual, making this one of my favorite missions thus far. I thought the ASLAVs would have troops embarked but still enjoyed it, and one of my ASLAVs actually survived the entire mission.
Would've been nice to have one of these in the mix with troop carriers:

This mission ran quite smoothly. The comms were good. The chain of command was adhered to as well.
Just an observation.
