Unleash the hounds! Hey Asid, was that phrase part of the stock Steel Fury or was it modded into the game?

I believe it is a mission from the "Steel Tanks Addon"

Wow, awesome. :D

Maybe we should be using that same quote on our Dogs of War games.

Hi Frankie

Glad you are enjoying it. I think it is an excellent WW2 tank sim. The "Steel Tanks Addon" mod is really impressive. I will be posting my exploits in SFK42 here.... lolol

Regards

Having a blast with Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942.

My gunner is zoomed into a KingTiger tank. Notice the detailed armour patterns? Also when I shot a armour-piercing shot at the tank, chinks in the armour appeared. What other WWII sim gives you this level of detail in its 3-D model of a tank? Bravo to Graviteam.

Call me crazy, but I went the full hog and downloaded 3.01 Gigabytes worth of mods. Can you image mods taking up as much harddisk space as the vanilla game's installation files? Get outta here!

Check out these screenshots.

Winter mod. The tank tracks throw up globs of snow.

Piggybank ride on a steel agent of death. Care for a ride, Ivan?

I even had a tank track shot off from under my tank. too bad I didn't capture that screenshot. Anyway. hope you enjoy the screenshots. Give the game a shot?

Nice screenshots, Asid. I like the graphics of the first tree-felling sequence. Looks like your recent ... or is that ancient graphics card is holding up well. I like the detail of that telephone pole. Tree cutting at your service, courtesy of the Panzer Division. I'm not so sure if tropical rain forest trees are that easily felled. Definitely not a Sequoia tree (US of A).  :-\

Hi Lumi

It is with my oooolllldddddd graphics card. Ancient Nvidia 8500GTX 1GB DDR2 memory & 128 bit. Overclocked :D

In SFK42 it seems realistic when you encounter obstacles. Your tank slows and starts to strain. Then if you knock down the tree, for example, you can drive over it. When you go over it your tank will strain to cross the tree and may get stuck so you need to reverse. Great effects to aid immersion.

I like it :)
