This is my simple attempt to tip my hat and pay respects to the 77th Anniversary of Operation Overlord. I currently have about 4200 km2 fully mapped. Some details have been intentionally left out here, but approximately 1/3 of the map I am showing is not complete yet. I am showing it none the less. The map is bounded by the Vire on the left to the Orne on the right. St Lo can be seen on the bottom left, while Bayeux is in the middle and Caen is on the right. On June 6, 1944 the largest airborne operation (to date) and the largest amphibious operation ever attempted in recorded human history was executed. I had the incredible opportunity to walk these beaches exactly 11 years ago, and facts like these continue to capture my imagination and inspire me to work on this project.
