Title: Command multiplayer
Post by: Cougar11 on March 12, 2018, 02:50:46 PM
I would like to see you a multiplayer version, where you could have individual people take certain roles. For example you could have a bomber Detachment fighter Detachment resupply Detachment all with an overall commander. So on larger missions it won't be an overwhelming task to create all the different setups. I'll see this could be really fun to have everybody watch and make adjustments on the go after the initial planning. What's your thoughts?

I was thinking you could break down individual players to rolls like bomber Squadron, Fighter Squadron, jamming, Ground Forces, surface ships, submerged ships, head even you can break it down to Battle groups with overall a Commander. This would allow for Less detail in the overall battle space, but more detail in the individual groups or tasks.

What are your thoughts?

Are you referring to Command Modern Air Naval Operations?

Alas multiplayer is low on the priority list for the developers. I'd love to have the feature! The challenge of multiplayer is the commitment in time such an endeavor would take, in my view. The scope of the scenarios are pretty big (thank goodness for time compression!) A scenario where a US CVBG and ARG approaches a hostile coast would cause my wife to divorce me. Still, we could manage to do it over time and frequently saving the scenario and saving it for the next weekend. I would suggest having an overall commander, and then breaking it into functional areas. Once player is responsible for AAW (he will be busy), another responsible for ASW (equally busy depending on the threat), and another responsible for ASuW. Just my thoughts ;-)
