Retro Dogfight, a Podcast Dedicated to Classic Flight Sims, Launches Today

(1/3) > >>

SpaceGameJunkie:
Hey friends, I'm writing because I'm launching a new thing today! It's a new podcast called Retro Dogfight, and it focuses primarily on classic flight sims of the 80s and 90s! My two co-hosts and I are old flight sim grogs, and even wrote about flight sims professionally back in the day! We love old sims, but I couldn't find a podcast on the subject, so I decided to create one!

You can listen, subscribe, and learn more about it here:

https://www.retrodogfight.com

And you can join our Discord here, if you wish:

Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy the show!

Asid:
I will take a listen  :thumbsup

SpaceGameJunkie:
Wonderful, thank you so much!!

Frankie:
@Spacegamejunkie is a National Treasure. Great initiative. Instant subscribe.

Rambling doesn't get any better than a retro flight sim rambling.

Loving the 15-second intro of music.

Frankie:
My first fight sim was this one:

A gorgeous game cover in full technicolour (OMG what a glorious sunset!!!)

abstracted into this in-game graphics:

Somehow my 14-year old teenaged mind and imagination managed to convert the cross-like plane, which consisted of blocky pixels, into a reality. Halcyon days of my flight simming youth! My parents had to worry about paying the bills. I had to worry about putting the plane down the runway safely, lit by two lines of chunky, blocky, pixelated runaway lights.

Why the heck am I still simming at 57 years of age!?
