Plugin version NGP7: 0.60.5059
v1.52.0 (2024-12-24)
What's new in RallySimFans (RSF):
- New: A new rally season theme (by Dimitris). IRC 2011 rally season theme is a rookie friendly with cars in Super-2000 class, but also exciting alternative for experienced drivers.
- New: Rally HQ load screen with custom splash screen images. When the game returns from a stage back to game menu, the load screen shows one of the images in screenshots/Splash/ folder. You can even drop there your own favorite rally image files (png, jpg, dds).
- New: Re-designed RBRHUD plugin (by Towerbrah) with an improved (features, performance) embeded 3D dashbord gauges. A new user customizable 2D overlay dashboard feature. Eventually overlays will replace the vanilla RBR digidash by providing a lot more features and better overlay graphics (press F4 key when a car is on stage to customize an race dash overlay). Please see below for more information.
- New: A new OpenRBRVR 1.1.0 version (by Detegr/Torttu). Please see below for more information.
- New: A new OpenRBRTriples 0.3.0 version (by Detegr/Torttu). Please see below for more information.
- New: A set of new maps. Please see below for more information.
- New: Fabia RS Rally2 RBRHUD gauges (by Mashironn).
- New: Fiesta Rally 2 RBRHUD gauges (by Mashironn).
- Improved: AleksiP updated and added tons of new cut monitoring rules (too many stages to be listed here).
- Improved: The RBR split time popup notification message shows a more relevant comparison. The current race time is compared to a record time driven with a car from the same car group, instead of compared to an overall record time (not much point comparing WRC record time to a time driven with a GroupR1 car).
- Improved: RSFLauncher.MyReplays starts the selected replay with a double mouse click.
- Improved: RSFLauncher checks certain RBR system file dependencies (Microsoft VCRedist and DX9 file versions) and shows a warning and instructions how to update those up to date. RBR may not start or even crashes if a file dependency is too old or missing.
- Improved: RSF detects if RBR startup crashed. The next startup will automatically revert back to show a vanilla Subaru car in a menu background in case the startup crash was because of an invalid car skin texture or setup file.
- Improved: RSF network communication improved to eliminate lag when crossing a split or finish line and to be even more fault tolerant.
- Improved: RBR startups a bit faster when cars and stages don't have any changes on the server side (improved the logic of a game data updates).
- Improved: Portuguese translation updates (by Ricardo V. Soares and MiguelBernardo7).
- Fixed: Fixed an ancient RBR bug where a stage splash screen sometimes flickered. This was especially annoying in VR. Now the splash screen no longer flicker just before the image fades out.
- Fixed: Fixed a bug where car specific camera settings were not properly saved when changing camera settings in Rally Season gaming mode.
- Fixed: If a hotlap race is retired after crossing a finish line then the time is still properly registered.
- Fixed: The number of call-for-help rally statistics calculation fixed.
RBRHUD 0.3.20 by Towerbrah:
- A complete re-design of a car specific RBRHUD 3D gauge logic. This improves performance, so now even non-gaming laptops can use live gauges.
- A new 2D overlay digidash feature. The overlay can do the same and a lot more than the normal RBR digidash overlay. You can customize overlays live from within the game (press F4 key when a car is on stage), additional race metrics to show on screen (and more to come in the near future).
- In some cars and internal camera views a steering wheel may block 3D live dash gauges. Not a problem anymore. RBRHUD allows you to adjust the steering wheel position, angle and size per car both in 2D and VR. Wonderful.
- Remember, press F4 key on stage to open the new RBRHUD overlay and gauges configuration and editor window. Also, see RSFLauncher.Cockpit&Dashboard page for the new RBRHUD and Overlay options.
- All car skin texture authors will also love this new feature in RBRHUD. F5 key press reloads a car texture from CARS/SomeCarName/Textures/ folder on the fly while a car is on stage! No more tedious stage reloads to see how DDS skin texture modifications would look like in a car. Just remember NOT to install another custom car skin via the RSFLauncher Skin Manager tool without at first making a backup of your custom made skins in CARS/SomeCarName/Textures folder (backups are always important when you modify default RBR game files).
OpenRBRVR 1.1.0 by Detegr/Torttu:
- Update DXVK version to 2.4.1.
- Use Pimax's native quad view rendering over Quad-Views-Foveated if it's enabled.
- Add 32-bit OpenXR runtime validation in initialization.
- Improve OpenXR initialization error messages.
- Fix invalid openRBRVR version number shown inside the game.
- Fix "Could not create VR render target for view 0" by changing the way available depth surface formats are tested.
- Fix a typo in predictionDampening setting.
OpenRBRTriples 0.3.0 by Detegr/Torttu:
- Implement in-game menu for adjusting triple screen settings.
- Implement side view skew using asymmetric frustum.
- Add support for double screen setups.
- Improve robustness of screen configurations.
- RSFLauncher improvements to set triples configuration options.
New maps:
- 511-Kaczyce 2(by Dej Krzysztof). The twisty Kaczyce is a very good looking stage, but the look is not the same as easy to survive. A new challenge to practice your handbrake power turns.
- 514-Santa Lucia II (by Lipe). The long 13km stage in Gran Canaria, but now in reverse order. Those few who completed the first stage can now try to drive a car back to beginning.
- 516-Halenkovice 2018 (by Miro Kurek, Napa RBR Cup and Dan Simek). Many of you may remember this stage name. Yes, not a new stage in RBR but a new in RSF. We all thank Miro and Dan for releasing their excellent stage in RSF online platform also. Thank you Miro and Dan.
- 517-Bayanbulak-Pegasus 2 (by Simrally CN Team). This one is a wonderful surprise for all of you. A debut stage of Simrally CN team and a new needle on a RBR world map, China. Thousands of years of history in China, so it is about time we have a RBR rally stage in China also. A trivia quiz. If you recognize the name "Pegasus 2" from Netflix then it is not a coincident. The Chinese rally movie inspired the CN team to create this stage. You should check out the Pegasus2 movie in Netflix and this stage in RBR. The beginning in both is a classic. Thank you and welcome Simrally CN Team. I hope we will see even more Chinese drivers in RBR/RSF.
- 519-Bois de Bie (by MonkeyZy). Another debut stage author in RBR (or at least in RSF and by this name). Bois de Bie is a beatiful tarmac stage and this time in France. It's been a long time since we had a new stage in France. I'm sure not only French RBR drivers, but everyone else will love this stage in a French country side.
- 299-Kamenak and 300-Kamenak 2 (by Miro Kurek, Napa RBR Cup and Dan Simek). Yet another classic stages in RBR, but new in RSF. We all in RSF development team and in RSF community are more than delighted to drive these in RSF also. Please see Miro's and Dan's web site for more details about Napa RBR Cup rally series.
Updated maps:
- The following BTB maps have been improved in many ways you won't believe even if you read it. You have to drive and see these yourself.
- The FPS performance is a lot better, and I mean a lot better. Even VR drivers with less powerful PCs can now easily drive these stages with a good VR FPS rate or in big triple screen setups.
- Listing just few of the BTB optimizations and improvements here: Varying weather and surface options, movable objects with collision (like a roadside banners), faster map load time, unique per stage replay cameras and so on.
- A special thanks to aesthetic_sofa. Without his RBR passion, hard work and expertise in RBR and Blender, none of this would have been possible.
- Vesala Shakedown (originaly by Esko Kyt?m?ki/Tango Team. Blender conversion by Thelc).
- Ahvenus I and Ahvenus II (originally by Justup and BTBfin. Blender conversion by Thelc).
- Fintele (originally by Rodrigo Rodriguez. Blender conversion by Thelc).
- Hassi (originally by Esko Kyt?m?ki/Tango Team. Blender conversion by Thelc).
- Piren Tarmac and Piren Gravel (originally by Mikael Jakobsson aka Jacken. Blender conversion by PeterB).
- Antaramanana I (originally by Beelabba. Blender conversion by Thelc).
- Other people also helped to work on this map pack (Thelc, PeterB, AleksiP, Towerbrah, Misterarek, WorkerBee, Tom Smalley, mika-n, Joona Karimaa, PowerPunch, Shakey Deal and rest of the RSF map testing team).
- This map pack release has been a good example of several people working together to release something not many believed would be even possible.
Please visit www.rallysimfans.hu website to download the latest RallySimFans INSTALLER application to update your existing RBR/RSF installation. This time existing RSF users don't have to download a torrent, all you need to do is to run the latest RallySimFans Installer application and choosing "Update Existing Installation" option.
A fresh new RSF installation still needs the torrent download package as a basis to run the installer app. Please see more detailed instructions in www.rallysimfans.hu Downloads page.
