The contract for Rosomak simulators for drivers



On 31 July 2015 years Armament Inspectorate concluded with a consortium ROSOMAK SA and Autocomp Management Sp. with o.o a contract worth PLN 22m (VAT) for the supply, installation and commissioning in the years 2015-2017 nine simulators / trainers drivers Rosomak. The proceedings in this case was conducted from 11 September 2014 in accordance with the Public Procurement Law in negotiated procedure with publication. He informed the editors contractor, the contract is the delivery of a modernized version of driver training simulators Rosomak Buttercup version 6DOF (cabin simulator mounted on a mobile platform
with 6 degrees of freedom).


The simulator / trainer Rosomak drivers Buttercup was developed by a consortium of three companies: Military Industrial SA (now ROSOMAK SA), Autocomp Management Sp. with o.o and Trinity Interactive Sp. with o.o While held in Kielce in 2012. Applications for participation in the tender in November 2014 years has made four bidders: CAE Elektronik GmbH (Germany), Zen Technologies Limited (India), ETC-PZL Aerospace Industries Sp. with o.o and jointly ROSOMAK SA and Autocomp Management Sp. with o.o For reasons formal invitation to tender was approved only the last of the tenderers.

  A comprehensive driver training simulator Rosomak type 6DOF Buttercup is intended for use in the process of teaching mechanics-drivers and improve their driving skills in difficult and dangerous conditions. Simulators can be integrated with each other, creating a structure depending on the needs of the platoon or company. In addition, each Buttercup can be connected implemented in the Polish Armed Forces system of schooling and training to small arms Śnieżnik. Cab simulator is equipped with all the necessary components as Rosomak and mounted on a movable platform 6DOF (6 degrees of freedom) allowing to implement exercises on:

    construction and operation of mechanisms compartment mechanics - drivers,
    starting the engine in various conditions.
    starting and stopping in the flat and on a slope,
    driving on a designated route with an average degree of difficulty,
    Driving in various field conditions,
    driving in various weather conditions and lighting.
    overcoming obstacles (water obstacle overcoming limited passages, bridges, ditches anti-)
    develop the habit of observing a driver operating parameters of the engine and power transmission system,
    driving in dense arrays.
    Driving on the battlefield including the conduct of effective fire
    behavior in dangerous situations on the roads and the battlefield.

The mass of a single simulator Buttercup 6DOF is about 2030 kg.

Rosomak is actually Finnish design.  It's Polish version of Patria AMV  8)
