Background: Ward Carroll is the Director and Outreach and Marketing at the US Naval Institute. He served as the editor of Military.com. During his 20-year Navy career he served in four different F-14 squadrons and was the operations officer for Carrier Air Wing One.

You will notice a marked difference in the video quality of Ward's and John's webcams. Not a deal-breaker, but I think John could do with a high-end external webcam. Or maybe it's the lighting of the rooms. Or, it could be that a low-resolution video of John's feed was used in the post-production of Carolll's Youtube video. No idea.

Still, this minor detail does not detract from the fact that the interview is absolutely riveting.
