Stream Deck XL button recommendations

(1/1)

Ligthert:
Since I've managed to get SBP running again and during my refamiliarization with the controls I started wondering how I could utilize the peripherals I have for my flightsims, one of them being the Stream Deck XL.

The Stream Deck XL is essentially a glorified and fancy programmable button box with 4 rows of 8 buttons. This is excellent for flightsims, but I also think that it can be useful for SBP.

Looking around I haven't found an existing export, so I will have to create my own. I think I can get inspiration from here (https://www.steelbeasts.com/topic/4340-sb-pro-pe-workstation/page/4/?tab=comments#comment-153943), as this unique contraption essentially encapsulates all the things I wish to accomplish (with what now seems a totally small and inadequate) Stream Deck XL. In my search I've also stumbled on this comment (https://www.steelbeasts.com/topic/15189-any-of-you-guys-used-the-matric-app-to-control-the-sim-i-find-it-very-useful-indeed-see-details-below/?tab=comments#comment-217746), which may tell me that this is a useless search.

So my question, which buttons do you recommend to putting int a streamdeck like mine?

Rinix,

Thanks for the feedback. I've adopted most of your suggestions and put this into my StreamDeck.

Top left: Switch profile
Bottom left: Profanity Button (mute teamspeak ;-) )

The first block of 5 columns on the left is related to the viewport or managing ammo.

I've skipped some of your suggestions like F and H, because I don't need to lift my hand from the keyboard and look what I need to press because I can press those buttons I can press instinctively.

The block of 6 buttons in the lower right are for formations.
The block of 6 buttons in the upper right are for map, engine on/off, commander, gunner, troops load and unload.

I'll refine this over time as my needs become more clear. :-)
