From General Sandman, this is the scenario we'll play this evening if there're enough players (10)
SoWW_MP BattleScenario_Wipeout their last Hideaway
Situation:
The Prussian army had to retreat north to reorganize. Only the Dennewitz Corps and part of the von Pirch Corps are currently operational and have the task of securing the army.
In the event of failure, all Prussians would have to withdraw via a further northern stream and would thus be neutralized.
At the course of the river that marks the Prussian section, the corps of Dennewitz and Reille face each other.
The Corps of von Pirch and D΄Erlon form the respective reserves.
The job of the French is to take the three Prussian depots and the HQ in order to achieve a strategic victory. Otherwise, the points earned decide the outcome on a tactical level.
Involved Forces (Custom OOB):
The attacking French have a superior force of more than one division.
Prussia:
Dennewitz Corps - 1st Reg of each Div mostly Regulars; others mostly volunteers; 1 Cav Div; Hvy Batteries
v. Pirch Corps - mostly regulars; 1 Cav Div; Hvy Batteries.
French:
Both corps are predominantly made up of seasoned troops. Around 25-30% are regulars. 1 Cav Div each; Hvy Batteries.
Objectives:
All objectives are relevant to both sides. The French objectives are all defined as waypoints. Those of the Prussians are temporary defending positions. While the French can always achieve a certain amount of points once taking a WP objective, the Prussians benefit from a small point credit for every minute of controling a location.
The 6 secondary targets at the river crossings are only active in the first hour. Of course, the Prussians can still defend the fords, but from 11.00 the objectives at the three depots will be active also for the Prussians, because from now on the priority should be on defending the main targets. The Prussian side can only benefit from the awarding of points for the control of the headquarters after 12.00. For the French, on the other hand, all main goals are active from the start.
Points:
Secondary goals:
French: 100-200; Lengh 5 min
Prussia: 1 -3 / min
Central obj highest value
Primary goals:
French: Depots 500; HQ 2000; Lengh 10 min
Prussia: Depots 3 / min; HQ 5 / min
Rules:
- The river (thick line) may only be crossed in the area of the fords (radius 100 yrds). No extensive flanking. The same applies to the small arm of the river that runs from south to north. There, only the one crossing can be used where the path runs.
- The main targets may only be attacked if the waypoint that was used for the respective crossing at a ford has been taken or a rule-compliant crossing in the area of the corresponding fords took place after 11.00am.
- Do not cross the river further west of the westernmost ford or further east of the easternmost ford.
- In order to simulate a delay in the activation of the reserve corps, the following procedure is prescribed:
1. CiC sends courier to corps commander asking for his position.
2. Corps commander sends courier with requested information.
3. Only after the CiC has received this answer, he may issue a marching order. As long as there is no marching order as described, the Reserve Corps must remain inactive.
- The Commander of the Prussian Reserve Corps, after the activation described above, v. Pirch is only allowed to use a given route that is only made known to him and which he is only allowed to communicate to the CiC after his activation by the CiC.
In order to create a starting situation that is as realistic as possible, all players who belong to the respective reserve should visit another TS channel until the briefing is completed, since an exchange of information or issuing of commands should only take place in accordance with the stipulations described above.
