Info
Support Apple processor M1
Starting with version 7.20, CodeMeter supports the new ARM-based Apple processors.
CodeMeter License Server and other applications and libraries are included as Universal Binary, so they work regardless of processor architecture.
The binding of a CmActLicense license to the hardware properties of the Apple hardware works in the same way on the new hardware and provides reliable binding (FB70354).

Linux and ARMv6hf processors
Starting with version 7.20 CodeMeter Linux does no longer support ARMv6hf processors (FB73502). Therefore Raspberry Pis of the first generation are no longer supported (FB73269).

License option Station Share
Station Share has been revised for Windows 10 and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions.
License accesses have been reworked natively for Windows and for .NET except for Mono, the open source implementation of the .NET Framework. Station Share for Java on Windows is also available if the Java client uses a native interface. In other cases, the previous procedure remains.
Station Share license access on Windows determines whether administrator privileges are available. In this case and with some .NET runtime configurations exceptions may occur, which are caught by CodeMeter. Then the revised Station Share mechanism is suspended and the previous solution is used (FB64591,FB63428,FB67758).
Applications that are encrypted with the current AxProtector version will automatically work with the new version.
Please note:
If applications encrypted with previous AxProtector versions are run on the same CodeMeter License Server with applications encrypted with the current AxProtector version or using the CodeMeter Core API, they do not share the same license (FB71633).

License Access Permissions (Access Control List, ACL)
In CodeMeter WebAdmin the feature to define license access rules for licenses at the CmContainer level has been added. This allows to control license access by the user administration by adding access rules for CmContainer serial numbers (FB68606). This feature was also implemented for TMR (FB72088).
Cache limits for license access permissions can be set in the profiling (Windows registry or server.ini file) using the values "UsersMaximumNumber" and "GroupsMaximumNumber" (FB70007). A corresponding information message in the CodeMeter log about exceeding the limits of the Active Directory (AD) now includes the actual and the configured limits (FB71086).

Features:
FB61678: CodeMeter License Server: CodeMeter.exe: Windows: CodeMeter License Server is now as a service, so that it can be started with user rights. The stopping of the service still requires administrative rights.

FB71196: CodeMeter License Server: CmActLicense licenses on systems running Amazon Web Services (AWS) are explicitly bound to parameters provided by that environment. This applies to all CmActLicense licenses newly created from this version on.

FB72012: CodeMeter License Server: The WebSocketAPI can be deactivated by the user from version 4 on. A selection of the versions to be blocked is supported. This allows a protocol version to be specifically deactivated, e.g. in the event of security vulnerabilities occurring in the future.

FB73315: CodeMeter WebAdmin: In the extended configuration, IPv6 addresses as well as the port can now be specified for allowed websites (origins).

FB70280: TMR: License Tracking: From now on Unit Counters are logged in license tracking.

Bugfixes:
FB73210: CodeMeter Installer: macOS: Installers were hardly readable in dark mode.

FB57450: CodeMeter License Server: When running two license servers, switching to the second server was blocked, if the first server as part of a server search list was too busy.

FB73306: CodeMeter License Server: For License Access Permissions (Access Control List, ACL) inconsistencies occurred in the Firm Codes used.

FB71863: CodeMeter License Server: When writing the license tracking rotation logs, inconsistencies in the writing of timestamps eventually occurred.

FB73037: CodeMeter License Server: Errors occurred when returning the computer name. CodeMeter now returns the host name even if the system itself is the 'localhost'.

FB71118: CodeMeter License Server: On *NIX-based platforms, the "codemeter -h" command issued a segmentation fault.

FB71916: CodeMeter License Server: WibuSign now requires at least an Encryption Only Firm Security Box (FSB). Of course it is still possible to use a standard FSB.

FB73420: CodeMeter License Server: WibuCmNET.dll: When using the 'UserName' and 'Domain' parameters in the credential structure, they were incorrectly editable. Now they are overwritten with detected system parameters.

FB73209: CodeMeter License Server: Time delays could occur when creating Context Files of CmActLicense licenses.

FB73474: CodeMeter License Server: The static libraries contained unnecessary dependencies that could lead to conflicts depending on their use.

FB73394: CodeMeter License Server: Binding of CodeMeter License Server to the configured TCP/IP port did not work correctly in all situations when a bind address was set. CodeMeter License Server was not accessible locally.

FB71032: CodeMeter License Server: WibuCmNET.dll: The call of the function 'CmGetRemoteContext' via the WibuCmNET.dll created an invalid context file in some cases.

FB72705: CodeMeter Control Center: On macOS a running CodeMeter Control Center prevented in some cases that the computer could be shut down or rebooted.

FB71162: CodeMeter Control Center: The CmFAS Assistant (CodeMeter Field Activation Service) could not be closed via the close control (X).

FB73552: cmu: When importing *.json files for License Access Permissions (Access Control List, ACL), errors occurred if the files ended with a <newline> flag.

FB71076: TMR: cmu: Creating a Context File now requires the specification of a file name with the '-f' parameter.
