VBS3 at Sea: New Maritime Content and Capabilities

Published on 30 Jul 2015

From Bohemia Interactive Simulations, this video highlights our ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities and content in VBS3 for maritime simulation and training. Coming in version 3.7, VBS3 features enhanced visualization for sea states, wakes and waves for a more immersive maritime training experience. The video demonstrates a new US Navy aircraft carrier model and an F-18’s take-off and landing. The demo also showcases a populated flight deck with new VBS3 content and animations, including new flight deck characters and their animated marshalling signals.

In VBS3 v3.7, Bohemia Interactive Simulations is introducing a number of new maritime features. This includes early access to the following maritime features: visual representation of sea states 0 to 12, prototype ship physics, variable stern and bow wakes, coastal effects with waves that correspond to wind direction, variable water color and opacity, and configurable sea states in scenario settings and synchronized across networks.
