Command a panzergrenadier battle group in battles and campaigns from the first shots fired on 1 September 1939 to the final clashes of 1945.

1. Command:
-infantry, tank and assault gun companies;
-artillery batteries;
-combat engineer platoons;
-reconnaissance detachments;
-anti-tank gun or tank destroyer platoons;
-forward air controllers; and
-platoons of deadly 88mm FLAK guns.

2. Establish command relationships to create combined-arms groupings.

3. Lay and breach minefields.

4. Call in air and artillery support.

5. Select from or fight against a choice of 159 British, French, German, Polish and Soviet unit types.

6. Fight 9 campaigns, including a 1939-1945 Grand Campaign.

7. Fight 25 stand-alone battles in Poland, France and Low Countries and on the Eastern Front.

8. Create your own battles using an editor.

This update includes:
-an option for a smaller mini-map
-an additional speed setting (.1x)
-platoon commanders get promoted based on experience rather than follow the 1, 2, 3 platoon sequence
-it is no longer necessary to press a "reorganization complete" button before deploying units on the map. Instead, units can be deployed immediately.

Key changes in this update include:

-improved FPS
-group movement improved by enabling unit selection using the left "Control" button, synchronizing group speed to maintain formation and removing the requirement for a headquarters element.
-group deployment of units is enabled.
-ammunition levels introduced for non-artillery units.
-a unit's movement destination marker now stays in place until the unit reaches it or a new destination is selected. A unit's call-sign appears on the destination marker for ease of identification.
-font sizes adjusted for high-res displays and report windows reduced in size

Screenshot: a battle group built around two batteries of an assault gun battalion on the advance. As the battle group is moving across open country the assault gun batteries are in the lead, followed by the battalion tactical headquarters, a panzergrenadier company and a combat engineer platoon.

-Commander names can be changed by clicking on them in the unit info window at the top left of the screen.

The main feature of this update is the option to deploy units in pre-set formations. Select a battalion from the unit list, chose a formation, click on the map and all of the battalion's units will deploy. Note that when you select extended line or arrowhead, maneuver elements will deploy in the front, an HQ behind them and combat support elements in depth behind the HQ. If you deploy in single file, the HQ will be 2nd in the order of march.

This update includes:

-Group movement in pre-set formations. This is shown in the attached screenshot, where a regimental battlegroup is advancing towards the Bug River with an armored and an assault gun battalion forward, two infantry battalions following them, and an engineer company moving in depth. All the units are in arrowhead formation with their maneuver elements forward, command elements in the back, and combat support elements in depth.
-Ability to change the Open Fire Policy range by increments of 500 when pressing "Control"
-Improved radio reports.
-Corrected bug in the Encyclopedia which appeared with Update 1.13.

This update includes:
-unit ammunition status differentiates between anti-personnel and anti-armor ammunition. This is visible in the attached screenshot where Major Rudorffer's Panther company with call-sign T13 has expended 90% of its anti-armor and 91% of high-explosive ammunition while engaging a mix of soft and armored targets.

Update 1.16

Maneuver Warfare update 1.16 will be out in a week. Do not download if in the middle of a campaign because your saves will not work. A big change is with the layout of the game, as you can see in the attached screenshot. Other changes will include:

-an option to choose either English or German ranks for commanders
-flexibility in creating the Grand Campaign
-map areas outside your maneuver corridor expanded for some of the narrower maps
-fire mission/air strike timings can be changed by increments of 5 when holding down left control
-some armor values adjusted
-month of battle can be selected in the editor, which will impact which units are available for purchase
-wait time for artillery increased. Further, artillery will not be available immediately after moving

Maneuver Warfare Update 1.20 is live now. It includes:

-multiple way-points – hold down LEFT SHIFT when choosing a destination on the map, either for
individual or group movement.
-changed visualization of artillery smoke
-different types of weather and visibility that affect movement speed and combat performance of units.
-reduced ammunition expenditure

You can see the new type of smoke in the attached screenshot where a battlegroup of two StuG batteries, two infantry companies, and an engineer platoon advances on a Soviet position during the Third Battle of Kharkov. Weather conditions are visible in the corner of the mini map.

-UI and performance improvements
-purchasing cost for units in campaign games is lower when upgrading units than when purchasing new ones

-when hovering the mouse over a campaign, information about that campaign shows up in a separate window

-when hovering the mouse over a medal ribbon in a unit info window, the name of that medal is displayed

-font changed and font sizes adjusted

-performance improvements

-purchasing cost for units in campaign games is lower when upgrading unit than its normal purchasing cost. For example, the cost of upgrading a Panzer IVc company to a Panzer IVf2 is lower than purchasing a Panzer IVf2 company into an empty slot or upgrading a company equipped with a different series tank.
