Stirring Abyss - v1.05

A new patch for Stirring Abyss is now available, including French localisation and other fixes.

General:

- French localisation now available!
- You can now rename your divers. (Look for the small icon of a pen on the personnel sheet)
- Easy is now the default difficulty when starting the game for the first time.

Balance:

- Reduced the crafting costs of most consumable items.

Bugfixes:

- Fixed a bug that could cause Salvage and Extermination missions to immediately complete or fail on the first turn of the mission.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the Wards in the "Enemy at the Gates" -mission to become unresponsive upon loading a saved game or following evacuation.
- Fixed the "Continue" text in some story events always displaying in English, regardless of selected language.
- Fixed an erroneous translation for less than maximum divers selected for the Away Team in the Russian localization.

Major Update - Harvester Patch (update 1.06)

A major update for Stirring Abyss is now available, introducing a new enemy type and new maps.

MEET THE HARVESTER



It approaches in silence, lurking in the twilight zone where the electric glow of their lamps is drowned out by the eternal darkness of the deep ocean. Pupils dilate, the hair on their arms stands on edge, a cold sweat forms. The Harvester is near, and the fields are ripe with frightened minds.



The Harvester is a creature of nightmare that feeds upon the Sanity of your crew and grows more dangerous the more it consumes. These otherworldly monstrosities stalk the deep trenches and ruins of the Abyss, ready to reap their unwilling harvest. Harvesters can be encountered in both Story and Endless mode, and will spawn in campaigns started before the patch as well.





NEW MAPS



For those players who have already thoroughly explored the Abyss, we are adding a couple of new maps for bonus missions - one new Seal Defense mission set on a rooftop plaza of ancient Akoratya, and one new Diver Rescue mission that sends you delving into the depths of the abyssal trench.

Changelog

• A new enemy has been added.
• 2 new bonus missions have been added.
• Torpedoes are now craftable once you have repaired the Forward Torpedo Room. They have a fairly high resource cost so use them wisely!
• Added more detailed info to the log when damage shields absorb damage.

Balance:
• Reduced the number of enemies in Endless mode Assassination missions.
Bugfixes:
• In the case where a diver has multiple different damage shields, the ones with lower duration will now properly get used first.
• Fixed an issue that was still sometimes causing Soviet Cache bonus missions to immediately complete or fail when starting them.
• Fixed an issue where Burst Pods count as cover for themselves after loading a mission from a save.

An update has crawled forth from the darkness... check out the details in the patch notes below:


General:

-The individual difficulty of an Endless mission is now indicated in its tooltip on the Map. Previously this was only indicated by the graphic of the mission node on the Map. (Note: The individual mission difficulty is independent from the overall difficulty of the game you select from the Menu before starting the game.)
-Improved the scaling of some sprites on high resolutions.


Balance:

-Missions on the first Map of a new Endless game can no longer spawn as the hardest individual difficulty. (Note: This change will not apply to Endless games started before this patch.)
-Enemy health has been adjusted to be lower on the first few Maps of a new Endless game. (Note: If you have an active Endless game from a previous patch, this change will take effect from your next mission onwards.)
-Salvage missions on the Endless mode have slightly longer timers on normal and hard difficulty missions. (Note: If you have an active Endless game from a previous patch, this change will take effect from your next mission onwards.)


Bugfixes:

-Fixed a bug where the Black Blood scourge would apply its full effect on enemy Ascendants, instead of a reduced effect like intended.
-Fixed a bug where the Black Blood scourge would not reset properly.
