MH86 Helicopter Base demonstration flight over Tisza river, Szolnok 2011

MH86 Helicopter Base was one of the two biggest military helicopter base in Hungary. In the base there were Mil Mi-8/17 and Mi-24 in service.
Yearly, in 20'th of August (national Day of Hungary) the base made demonstration flights over Tisza river.
In the video we can see two Mi-17 and an Mi-24 with special color scheme. The helicopter are making formation flights, soldier transports and solo displays.
At first, after the opening formation, an Mi-17 drops military divers to the river.

After it the another Mi-17 transport soldiers to the riverside with rope.

Thereafter the Mi-17 protects the ground attack from the air with doorgunners:

At 3:52 Mi-17 performs a landing in the riverside to discharge more soldiers. The soldiers are protecting the helicopter's take off.


The higlight of the video is the Mi-24 solo demo flight.
This Mi-24's name is Csőrike 2 (Tweety 2) after Csőrike 1.
The special painting was made for demonstration flights, the helicopter got it in 2010.
716 Mi-24 was operating in the Hungarian Military between 1985 to 2012.
