RATTENFALLE 1 by Abraxas

A. Situation:
   1. Enemy: Head of a reinf BMP BN 10 km north of BUTTLAR on the way to the south. Further forces of a BMP-Rgt follow.
Suspected enemy intention: Advance south in the course of the ULSTER. Strong reconnaissance forces ahead are to be expected.
I expect the enemy main thrust over BUTTLAR - BORSCH - B728 and the possibly supporting attack over BERMBACH - KRANLUCKEN.

2. Own: Reinf 4./911 as advanced guard has just reached planned FEBA NEUSWARTS - GÜNTHERS - SCHLITZENHAUSEN. Reinf point platoon A takes positions along security line (SL).
No contact with the enemy so far.

B. Task: Reinf 4./911 sets up with mass in the course of FEBA for temporary defense, clears enemy points early, attrits enemy with parts and holds FEBA until BN arrive.

C. Execution:
Forces deploys at the front initially secure in SL, wear down enemy by fire, delay him for at least 60 minutes and lead him in front of the company to finally catch him in the company’s combined fire.

   Tasks:
   -reinforced with M2 section
-Immediately gains positions in the course of SL in such a way that the enemy can be recognized on a broad front and be fought early;
-delays independently in such a way that enemy is always weakened by flanking fire and is guided into the ULSTER valley and thus in front of the company;
-after rearward A Plt new reserve and B section after supply to BP 1.4;
-DS ARTY until PL CONDOR
   +Arty targets Art 1 to 5
   +Arty target areas abr9151 to 9156 (trigger)
   +scatterable minefields (duration 30 min) Mi 1 to 5
-supply: MED and ARV on call via company (trigger)
-3 ammu trucks are available in PL ADLER until 0745 hrs, as long as PL can be held. Ammu truck 1 and 3 can be relocated for as long as this takes (trigger)
   A further ammu truck is ready to be called up in the area of reserve (trigger)
-resupply with ammunition and fuel after rearward (area of reserve)

I misjudged the bridge, and it collapsed. I did not stop in time, and was immobilized. The mission ended soon after this with a victory.
