Agathosdaimon:
looking for some files to repair my floppy disks!

hi, not sure if this is okay to ask or not, but amidst my couple of editions of Tornado, i have the floppy disks and sadly i was testing them today and found the files on Disk 3 and 4 (Operation desert storm) to be corrupted. I am wondering if for the sake of preservation some one might have the files from these disks that i can use to replace the corrupted ones on the floppies

also with th efloppy version i put disk 1 into dosbox and ran the mount floppy as usual as well as a mounting my games folder as cdrive like normal, but when try to install the game from the install exe, the install program is telling me to insert disk 1 into drive a or b - which is bizarre as i have disk 1 in the mounted drive a already - any explanation for why this is happening? (i didnt progress further as i want to get he corrupted files fixed- or buy new floppy version on ebay if needed)

You must abide by the EULA of the software at all times.

oh okay, thanks for the reply, though i am not sure what the EULA of the software is if there is or was one, but thats fine. I will just buy another version of tornado with floppies and copy over files from those in order to preserve these disks, as i dont really want to throw disks out if i dont have to

Frankie:
I have a set of floppies of version 1.0 but only if i get my hands on a desktop pc with a 1.44" drive can I be of any help. Actually you will be able to find several CD-Rom versions of Tornado on archive.com. Also perhaps if you got or bought the cdrom version,  the contents should last longer than obsolete floppy media.

Agathosdaimon:
i do have CDrom versions already, and checked these but they dont have the files packed the same way. I know i am just being a bit obsessive, but i like to have the floppy disks too in working order for my collection - i think the floppies are cool and have sweet little labels on them too. i have a 1.44mb usb floppy drive too. i like using floppies for some retro flavour from time to time
