Multiple bug fixes and stability improvements including:

•   Fixed an issue with video playback on win 7 machines.
•   Fixed issues with some battle goals.
•   Fixed issues with monsters not spawning in some Guildmaster levels.
•   Fixed an issue with Eclipse
•   Fixed an issue when skipping two pushes in a row if you're pushing multiple enemies.
•   Fixed an issue where scenario modifiers were being reapplied when opening a new room.
•   Multiplayer - Fixed a soft-lock issue related to Angry Face
•   Multiplayer - Fixed an issue when abandoning a mission mid-attack can leave players soft locked on the end screen stats.
•   Multiplayer - Fixed an issue when discarding cards that apply active bonuses to other characters.
•   Increased the Speed Up button to x3 instead of x2.

Multiple stability fixes for single-player and multiplayer including:

    Fixed issues with the progress tracking on a few Battle Goals.
    Fixed an issue with more monsters spawning that the standee limit should allow.
    Fixed Monster ID UI display to show ID even if it's 1.
    Fixed an issue with resuming a scenario with Saw .
    Fixed an issue with AI incorrect movement with traps.
    Fixed an issue with Lightning .
    Multiplayer - Fixed a soft lock on the results screen if a client left in the middle of a turn.

From gloom, only death and greed emerge… and occasionally, the wild Gloomhaven v1.0

A band of battle-scarred mercenaries violently opens the door of the Sleeping Lion. Not the best tavern in town but not so shabby as to deter bounty hunters, ruffians and other unsavoury folks. Once seated, a beer in each hand, their leader clamors with a distinctive deep voice:
“We’re back lads! Do you smell this? The scent of opportunity! We’ve left the city for two years, we’ve become Guildmasters and taken our fair share of loot, but Gloomhaven has called us home.”
With a quick glance, he notices several people whispering and counting their gold whilst looking around.
“It seems like work is back on the menu.”

Soon enough, a heteroclite group of small-time adventurers approaches him, seemingly confused.

“Well, well, what do we have here? Green blood! Whaddaya want? A contract? An advice? A hug mayhap?”
Without giving them a chance to answer, the veteran mercenary grabs one of them by the collar and mumbles:
“No hug for you, but let me give you a piece of advice, if you’re looking for mercenary work, we’ve heard there’s a Valrath looking for hired blades capable of tracking down some stolen documents. Go see her if it is in your line of work. Now get lost!”

MACOS RELEASE DAY HAS COME UPON US

Good day, glorious adventurers!


Today is generous with us, as Gloomhaven is finally available on macOS.
*YAY*


We worked hard to release a macOS version that would be fully stable and of a quality level we deemed appropriate for Gloomhaven players.
As of right now, we are happy to announce that we have met the standards we set for the macOS version to be released, hence this brilliant update.
We are very excited to be giving macOS players the opportunity to join us on Gloomhaven.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

MERCENARIES!

We heard you.
We received lots of feedback regarding the enhancements and randomness issues, and thanks to you all, we have been able to carefully evaluate and discuss these topics.
The next major update coming in December will thus implement the following changes:

Enhancements:

We are working on implementing the permanent enhancements for the retirement system from the original board game to the Gloomhaven Digital Campaign. This will be a toggleable option in the campaign that will allow a mercenary to keep their enhancements after they’re retired. Consequently, if you or another member of your party wants to play the same character, the unlocked enhancements will remain.
In the non-permanent enhancements mode, the enhancements’ pricing will be reduced and rebalanced to allow you to create new build ideas. These changes were approved by Isaac Childres and his team.

Game variant - reduced randomness:

This board game variant allows players to reduce the variance in damage caused by the x2 (or “Bless”) and x0 (or “Curse”) attack modifiers by instead treating them as a +2 and -2 modifiers respectively.

We felt it was cool to let you know we were working on these specific two as there has been a huge demand and tons of feedback about it, and since we’re cool, too. <

To access The Jaws of the Lion content in multiplayer co-op every player has to own the DLC.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the DLC going to be a standalone campaign?

No, you are able to integrate the content of the DLC (4 mercenaries, 10 items and 25 new scenarios) with a simple click of a button into an existing Story campaign without having to start over. Alternatively, all new Story campaigns will have all new mercenaries available from the start and the new scenario content available after core mission 2.
Note - DLC enabled save games cannot be reverted to non-DLC games.
If you play in the Guildmaster mode, once converting the save or starting a new game the 4 mercenaries will be immediately available and the items will be added to various treasure tables.

How long is the game going to be at launch?

You can expect about 30+ hours to finish the main campaign.

How many players can play together online?

You will be able to play online up to 4 players, the same as the base game. Once a saved game is converted to be DLC compatible, all players will require the DLC to be able to join.
When starting a new campaign you will have the option to activate Jaws of the Lion or play with the base game only.

Can we expect further updates / DLCs after that?

Although we cannot share anything at this point, we will keep supporting the game after the release of Jaws of the Lion.

Added basic controller support
Tinkerer Traps now have their own unique skins & improvements to the biome themed traps in different scenarios.
Added a tooltip to better explain Cragheart's this ability will also
Improved travel animations when traveling to and from City Scenarios in the main Campaign
Fixed the hitbox on traps being difficult to mouse over and bring up its info
Fixed not being able to swap cards in/out of the deck immediately after leveling up (no longer have to close and open the panel again)
Fixed props / obstacles changing how they look visually after reloading a save
When using the 'Retry scenario' function (after a scenario ends in defeat but before traveling back to Gloomhaven), the RNG, enemy cards and attack mods will now be regenerated (so they are not the exact same as first attempt).

Meet Voidwarden and Demolitionist

Greetings, fellow mercenaries!

Now is the time for you to meet the remaining two mercenaries from the upcoming Jaws of the Lion DLC: Voidwarden and Demolitionist.

As a reminder:


Each of these characters brings something new to combat within Gloomhaven Digital, including their own unique powerful ability when they reach level 5 so be prepared for spoilers about their gameplay and stop reading now if you want it to be a surprise!

[Note: some parts of this article are hidden under black lines to avoid spoilers - Hover over them if you wish to reveal the content!]

The important thing to know is that these characters are available to use in your core Gloomhaven scenarios and core mercs can take part in Jaws scenarios, neither are limited to their own content, so the amount of combos has increased massively.



Control Freak

The Voidwarden has access to a wide range of abilities, suited to almost any occasion, as long as that occasion involves an assortment of fangs, claws and various rusty weapons pointed in your direction. She excels however at control, both via classic crowd control abilities, debuffing multiple enemies or by directly controlling ally or enemy actions. The sheer range of options for her top and bottom half abilities can be intimidating at first.

Also, due to her ability to buff her allies (often with minor drawbacks) she performs better in larger parties where there are more mercs to aid and more enemies to exterminate.

The first ever Gloomhaven DLC is out. Join the adventure now!

You and your group are sitting down for some cold brew in the Sleeping Lion after a hard day's mercenary work. Protecting that merchant was too troublesome... Suddenly a peculiar Orchid covered in an innumerable amount of crystals approaches and sits down at the table.

Looking from under her shadowed hood, she begins speaking.
"So you're the the mercenary group I've heard about?"
She looks around the table.
"Not that it says much coming from the people I heard it from. But I'd like to know what kind of feats you can muster."
She eyes each of you intently, measuring your value to her.
"Prove your true worth." She snaps "Accept the challenge that is coming and uncover all that lies beneath the veil..."

A chill runs down your spine at her final words, but before you can consider responding to the ludicrous comments of this crazed Orchid, she disappears in an instant. Your group stares quietly at one another, wondering what kind of wild and harrowing adventure awaits you all...
