MECHBAT ATTACK ON TIRWA by swordsmandk

TO CMDR 61 PzG BG

1) SITUATION:
   a) Enemy:
   DDR PzG COY (+) with tnk support has attacked town of TIRWA and NISSILANTIE and taken control of the surrounding area. They have been seen preparing defensive positions.

   ENY is expected to begin probing further NORTH at any moment. Expect ENY recon movement.
   
   Units sighted match that of a Mech BTN with T72, BMP1 and other tracked vehicles. It is suspected they have been assigned ATGMs.

   b) Own:
   You are part of Mech BTN that has been tasked with counter attack in this sector. We have been hit hard and do not have the forces normally at our disposal. Road 24 is being secured by Lima PLT.

   It is CO BTN intent to launch a counter attack before ENY gets a foothold and is able to bring in more reinforcements. We have the option of calling in reserves but only if neccesary.

   c) Attachments and detachments:
   - 1x TNK PLT
   - 1x MECH PLT
   - 1x RECON SEC
   - 1x CSS SEC

2) MISSION:
   It is CMDR intent to attack SOUTH from Bridge 1 (B1) along R1337 towards Bridge 4 (B4) and secure TIRWA and NISSILANTIE. Intel indicates no HVY force are north of PL NOVEMBER yet.

   Mission:
      1) Attack along R1337 and;
      2) Take OBJ GOLD
      3) Take OBJ SILVER

3) EXECUTION:
   UP TO YOU

4) COMMAND AND SIGNALS:

A1 = TNK PLT
A2 = MECH PLT
R1 = Luchs
B1 = Reserve TNK PLT
B2 = Reserve MECH PLT

After this, Steel Beasts crashed, so we played Zipuli's Tank Platoon in Attack next


Destroying BMP-2s


I pursue an enemy car, but the enemy T-80s surprise me


My attempt to destroy the car by ramming fails


With only the tank's drive alive, I sacrifice my tank to get the T-80s to waste their ammo


Oleg tows Lusik closer


Oleg defeats the enemy counterattack, but we fail to complete the scenario, most likely due to overlooking an enemy tank to the east
