A Civil War is ravaging the Empire, laying waste to the once proud realm. Summon undead to your side or conscript villagers into your ranks, cast powerful draining magic or direct your army into different formations to adapt them to your needs.

You will decide the fate of the fallen Empire and all of Keldonia. Join the forces of the Shadowlord or resist him and seek to stem the tide of his minions.
In this next chapter of the Keldonia campaign, you fight as the Empire facing a new type of enemy, born from the Shadowlord’s realm and spreading like a dark plague.

Empire Aflame is the second expansion for Fantasy General II, the sequel to the beloved fantasy wargame from the 90s.

In Empire Aflame you will lead the Empire in their own new unique campaign: lead new heroes and new units in the fight to reclaim the Imperial legacy, and take decisions that will forever shape the fate of Keldonia.

Features:

A branching story campaign: Combining the best of the first two campaign systems, Empire Aflame provides an intense story following the young Transmuter Moira in her rise to power while offering a wealth of map choices and completely different ways to play. Will you fight the new threat to Keldonia’s very existence or join the Shadow forces and plunge the world into darkness forever? Over 40 maps allow you to play completely different campaigns.
Shadow Forces: A swarm of demonic creatures that can infect settlements and transform them into shadows portals
New Faction: Play as the Empire and experience a very different style of campaign with new faction rules.
New environments: Winter has come to Keldonia with two new map themes
New units: 5 new Frost Trolls and 5 different types of Shadow Creatures roam the land. New secondary heroes such as Szzlag the Devourer and Ocram, the Transmuter each with their own skill tree.
New Main Heroes, New Skills: Moira, the young Transmuter and Filos, the haughty general, all with new faction abilities and skill trees. These will also be added to the Onslaught campaign roster.
New Vendors – make use of various merchants and vendors
New Training – your heroes offer new training to your units from the start of the campaign.

We're releasing a new minor update for Fantasy General II

It consists of a series of fixes which were found thanks to our testers. If you have more suggestions or feedback keep it coming, it's really handy.

In the meantime the team is hard at work on new, exciting content... we can't wait to show you more. Stay tuned.

Changelog:
• Changed mana being taken away completely in final map (now a limited amount is removed).
• Fixed dialogue bugs in Dragon Isles map making people miss out on rewards.
• Fixed Merchant being removed after Forge of Light.
• Fixed various bugs in Defend Kanthas to prevent Marcra losing the mission for the player and Centaurs attacking their own if allied.
• Fixed Bugs in Map Sunken Lands when seeking Szzlag that could stop the map from being able to be finished.
• Adapted spawn zones to make live less dangerous for Szzlag in Sunken Lands.
• Fixed an issue where you could not win "Gates of Kyrios" if Marcra died before you met.
• Fixed an issue where having a dragon in your team would trigger Siye dialogues.
• Fixed an issue where you could not finish the final battle if Moira died when you play Filos.
• Fixed several maps not loading correctly (console only).

A new online tournament has been open for Fantasy General II. Sign up now!

It is a 3 rounds tournament, each featuring a unique map with different and varied victory conditions. Expect to face new tactical situations and to fight on scenarios never seen before in the single player campaign.

The first round will begin on Monday November 30, and each round will last one week. By the end of the tournament the first three players in the ranking will receive a prize: the champion will receive a $25 discount voucher for the Slitherine store, while the players who end second and third in the final ranking will receive $15 and $5 discount vouchers respectively.

We have a new update for Fantasy General II

We're releasing a new update for Fantasy General II, a minor one this time, but the team is hard at work on exciting new content and it won't take long before we're able to show you more, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, do let us know what you think of this update. As usual your feedback is valuable.

Changelog:

• Fix for Spot Syie dialog in "The Dragon Isles" not being displayed if Syie is spotted right after finishing deployment
• Fixed not correctly triggered lose condition in "Stop the invasion!" if Moira or Filos die
• In "Battle of Hebros" only essential heroes need to reach the exit zone (no hero upgraded from a normal unit)
• If the Mage Tower was placed in "Theme" this would lead to a crash on map start
• Fixed the issue when losing your main hero and killing your main objective would still continue the game.
• Harpies can now be upgraded to Harpy Bombers
• Fixed the issue that you lose supply when continuing as Filos in the Empire Aflame campaign and supply has been skilled. Does not retroactively fix the issue.

We're releasing a new update for Fantasy General II. It is a smaller one, containing a few fixes. The team has been hard at work on the next piece of content, though: the announcement of the new DLC will be coming soon, so stay tuned.

• Bugfix: Fixed an issue causing the game to malfunction when a taurus catapult is used.
• Balancing: Adjusted Hero Health
• UI: Fixed some missing icons in tutorial messages
• UI: Fixed faulty layouting of tooltips when playing with russian language
• UI: Tweaked tooltip layouts to not be higher than screen
• Content: Fixed faulty DLC requirements in "Eagle's Eyrie" mission in "Invasion" campaign.

The third Fantasy General II expansion will be released on February 25th,



It is a hard world for the Lizardfolk and the young newt Szzlag and his siblings, who have been expelled from their home to carve out a new place of their own in the land. Follow the evolution of Szzlag the Devourer from newt to mighty lizardfolk hero and become the master of the Broken Isles, facing unprecedented dangers from a race of foreign invaders, never before seen by your kind.


A new Fantasy General II expansion is coming.

It is called Evolution, and it will feature a brand new playable faction, a new single player story campaign, plenty new units, new items, a new hero, a new world map and a new map theme.

A new faction: the Lizardfolk

It is a race of lizards who excel at amphibious and sea warfare.

They don't have any of the normal penalties associated with movement and combat in water, receiving bonuses instead, and can also hide in deep water and swamps, making the sea their natural environment.

The Lizardfolk faction makes use of the existing lizards units from the original campaign plus plenty new units making their roster equal to that of the other two factions. New marine-themed neutral units have been added too, including giant crabs, huge sharks, seagulls, warships and more.

A new story campaign: Evolution

The Lizardfolk are playable in Skirmish, Onslaught mode or in their new Story Campaign, Evolution. It is a 20 missions long campaign set on a new world map in which you take command of the new playable hero, the lizard Szzlag, as he leads his siblings away from his tribe in an initiation rite. It is a prequel to the Invasion campaign, and will establish the Lizardfolk as a force to be reckoned with.

In the campaign, you can use Evolution points in order to evolve your lizardfolk units, turning them into bigger, meaner and more dangerous lizards. How do you obtain evolution points? By eating your prey.

A new map theme: the Archipelago

Evolution also introduces a new map theme, Archipelago. This new map theme is tropical and marine-based, with plenty of islands, beaches, deep & shallow waters and luscious jungle.

Some of you might know that a while ago we've launched the new Tournament system for Fantasy General II.

In order to celebrate the announcement of the new DLC, Evolution, which will be released on February 25th, we have opened subscriptions for a new tournament.

It will consist of three rounds, the first of which will start on Monday February 1st. The tournament will conclude on Monday February 22nd, and by then we will have crowned the Winter champion, who will receive a free copy of Fantasy General II: Evolution.

Joining the tournament is absolutely free and it is open to all. All you need to do is to create an account on the Slitherine website, log in, and then join here.

Once you join, you will be paired automatically by the tournament system against your online opponent, and you will see the multiplayer game in your online games. All you need to do is open Fantasy General II on Monday, go to Multiplayer, and send in your turn.

It is a great way to face online opponents, and you have the chance to win the new upcoming DLC for free. Sign-ups are open.

• Evolution DLC added!
• New Hero - Added a new version of Falirson as a Hunter Hero playable in both Invasion and Onslaught campaigns
• Units - Major Lizardfolk unit rebalancing; most notably: Can only hide in Swamp and Deep Water (not Rivers and Shallow Water)
• Units - Lizard Hunters are now Stealthy (invisible in all terrain) and deal more ambush damage. Beware! • Units - Wyverns changed to a squad instead of a single unit.
• Units - Empire Aflame and Invasion Lizards have access to new Lizardfolk Units
• Theme - The new Archipelago environment now available for Skirmish maps
• Balancing - Shop-acquired supply is no longer included when calculating AI budget when "AI scaling ON".
• AI - Ai now better pursues locations of interest, not constantly switching their target; several groups split up to cover more ground
• AI - Retreating units do not retreat for more than 3 movement points; the player's units do not retreat into enemy units
• Score - Added and fixed some unit special mentions displayed on completing a campaign.

• Bugfix - Heroes from upgrade trees (Thanes, Generals) can now be trained via Training Grounds.
• Bugfix - Changing your damage type (via magic/artefacts) is now correctly displayed in the UI
• Bugfix - Player now keeps artefacts of units they charmed when ending a mission
• Bugfix - Fixed the promotion "Siege Engineer" not working with the Winged Maidens Jump
• Bugfix - Fixed an issue with Teambuffs that would sometimes vanish/duplicate when saving/loading the game

Fantasy General II: Evolution has been released

Today is a great day for the Fantasy General saga: Evolution, the third DLC for Fantasy General II, has been released.






Introducing a new single player story campaign, you'll be leading a new hero, Szzlag the Devourer, and the Lizardfolk, which have been expanded with new units to become the third playable race.

They excel at marine warfare, having amphibian units, big and small alike, as well as huge crabs at their disposal. Naval warfare in general has been expanded, with new units (including neutral) having been added for all factions.

In theme with the rest of the expansion, a new map type has been added, Archipelago, bringing tropical beaches to the world of Fantasy General.

Furthermore, we are releasing a new bundle containing the base game and all its DLCs, including Evolution. You can find it here.

We are also retiring the old Hero Edition and General Edition from our store. From now on, players who want to acquire the Hero Edition extra content can do so by purchasing the new Fantasy General II Hero Edition Upgrade Pack.
